If she was a representative that had grown unpopular in her own district, that might be understandable...it might even be commendable. But in Wyoming, there is one. ONE. One congressional district, so her rejection was not just the people in her district, but in fact, a state-wide repudiation.

She won’t get Republicans to vote for her in the primary, and Democrats won’t cross over when their 2024 primary is likely to be highly competitive. Maybe she can hook up with that Egg McMuffin guy and go independent and get less than 1%.

Most of y’all think this is Cheney being delusional and actually believing she will win in 2024. It’s not. Cheney doesn’t need the job, she and her family are worth upwards of 100 million and can get any busoness leader or politician to pick up the phone and listen when they call.
What it really is is a money laundering operation, taking lobbyist and superpac money and using it to hire a small army of DC based pollsters, journos, recently college grads, etc. Keeping their otherwise worthless should from having to actually learn a marketable skill and denying them to other republican candidates. Doubtful Cheney would even get on the ballot in most states, but when that real nevertrump candidate emerges from the scrum in the 2024 primary, she’ll be able to play kingmaker by transferring her small army of quislings to that person.
If she can’t get 30% in a teeny tiny state where her family roots are, she has the hubris to run for President of the UNITED STATES?!

She collected 14 million to run for Congress and only spent about 500k on her campaign. She pulled a rope a dope. She’s going to use that 14 mil to hurt Trump. She may run but she’ll need much more. I think she starts a PAC and runs attack ad after attack ad to oppose Trump and the people he backs.
She lost badly in a primary in her own state. Would she really do that much better in primaries in blue states. What is she going to run on? Is being for, or against, for that matter, the impeachment of Trump an issue you can run for president on?

I don’t think Liz Cheney is under the delusion she’d win the nomination, I think she wants to be on the televised debate stage in 2023 “exposing” him.
