Yep. And if you remember, Judge Moore was severely persecuted and attacked for simply hanging a carved monument of the 10 Commandments ( which he himself worked on ) in the Alabama Judicial Building.

offer to move it outside, and they refused that also?

You are accidently combining 2 events. He had a wooden carved plaque in his courtroom as a judge in Gadsden. The 10 Commandments monument in the Alabama Supreme Court lobby was carved in stone, not a huge monument but very heavy. Man I could share tons of stories about those days. I attended every rally held at the court during that fight and heard many great speakers (James Dobson, Alan Keyes, Jay Sekulo, etc) and then went to D.C. with a small group to protest there. I witnessed miracles...more than one. Amazing time in my life!
