Blinn College is a good school, tied to a conservative Methodist denomination. It is not Rice University nor is it a JUCO for athletes.
Not sure which campus he will attend, but the main campus is in Brenham TX. In a previous career our company supplied Blinn with most AV and teleconferencing equipment.
They have some genuinely good people there. Plus a few jerks that are trying to get promoted in the college ranks.
A&M is less woke than any other public university in Texas, with the possible exception of Angelo State in San Angelo.
A&M Is one of the more conservative universities in TX. It has the largest military corps of cadets outside the military academies. Unfortunately it isn’t as conservative as it once was , but is a far cry from UT.
.........both my kids graduated from Texas A & M. My daughter is a CPA and controller of a 40 million a year restaurant chain and the other owns his own construction company. My son also attended the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen and was in the Corp at A & M all 4 years.
For my part, I’ve been over to A & M over those years and before at least 100 times so I know the place pretty well. You are right about WOKE but it’s like the FBI meaning the woke bastards are mainly at the top and the tenured professors. The student body as a whole is probably about 30% woke and the Corp maybe 10% woke. I never met a liberal corp guy and I have met scores of them. My son says they are few and far between or were when he was there.
Rittenhouse would do well to go to A & M and fit right in. The Corp would welcome him, in my opinion, and they would help protect him from the morons that are around.

Really? Not based on those I know that have went there and are going there. What schools in Texas would you suggest?
