We don’t go to the streets. That’s what they want us to do.We follow the words of a lefty saint, Joe Hill. “ Don’t mourn! Organize !” Organize politically, culturally, socially.
This is an interesting thought experiment.
Clearly, the author is correct at least in part: whoever is running the show in the White House (and it for sure isn’t Brandon) is weighing the pros and cons of arresting Trump.
That planning has to include some assessment of the MAGA reaction to that level of lawlessness, and the best case scenario from that deep-state perspective is that some legit. Trump supporters decide that it’s time to go kinetic. I don’t think that will happen, but you can bet that there’s a contingency plan for a few false flag actions.
That’s where things could spiral out of control quickly. The regime has shown that it can mobilize mobs in the streets, to burn, loot, and kill. But in 2020, their goons mostly stayed in safe blue cities. Could their troops be contained again? And what happens if the chaos spreads to the red zones?
That’s the context in which political organizing would have to occur. It won’t be impossible, but new methods of identifying, contacting, and motivating our voters are going to be needed.
