You're 100% correct. All of those individuals who think that things will be different if Republicans take control of the House, and/or Senate this fall, are in for a rude awakening. Congressional Republicans will continue to sit on their hands like they have for years. They will go along, to get along. Nothing more.

Same with me. This was just a stupid escalation with no upside for anyone. Should anything happen to Trump for any reason, no one would believe it was natural. Extremely stupid, selfish and destabilizing. No one believes we have free and fair elections. FBI is a bunch of thugs, and I feel bad for thugs in using their name in this manner. The only thing I believe for sure, is that Joe Biden was unaware of the raid, as he is unaware of most everything.

Earlier today I did propose a radical solution, but I think I scared some folks since conservatives tend to get freaked out with out of the box thinking.
(So, don’t tell anyone, but I proposed President Trump move to a country without a US extradition treaty and declare himself President-in-Exile. Of course that would require acknowledging that “democracy” is toast and we live in a third world kleptocracy—kinda scary for white bread conservative types....)
