Maybe it's just me, I don't know: I haven't trusted a word that anyone in this government has uttered since George H.W. Bush broke his promise of "read my lips, no new taxes!" and I damn' sure have never believed anything that came out of the idiot box (TV) for as long as I can remember.
Speaking of TV, I have a beautiful 4k Samsung 55" curved TV that does nothing but display the best of the best pictures I've taken over the years. No antenna connected, no cable TV subscription. No point in having either, nor have I for about 10 years now since dumping DirecTV.
If I watch anything, it's typically streamed to a picture in picture window on my 32" 4k PC monitor or my tablet. I may stream about 2 hours of content/week.
