MADISON, Wis. -- As Wisconsin's longest-serving Assembly speaker, Republican Robin Vos has presided over efforts to restrict abortions, weaken unions, expand gun rights and push back against COVID-19 mandates. Despite that, he's facing a primary challenger who claims he's not conservative enough.
The challenger's argument: Vos should do more to respond to former President Donald Trump's unfounded allegations of fraud in the 2020 election.
Primary challengers like the one facing Vos next Tuesday have been successfully targeting incumbent state lawmakers across the country, and Republicans are taking the brunt of it.
With more than half the state legislative primaries concluded, Republican incumbents this year have been losing at nearly twice the average rate of the past decade, according to data compiled for The Associated Press by the election tracking organization Ballotpedia. The primary loss rate for Democratic state lawmakers is similar to previous elections.
The Republican losses continued to mount Tuesday, as Trump-endorsed candidates ousted incumbent state senators in Arizona and Michigan and a conservative challenger beat the assistant majority leader of the Missouri Senate. Though not technically an incumbent, Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers also lost a bid for state Senate after being criticized for refusing to help Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

The GOP in Wisconsin is a total mess - it has broken up into multiple pieces. Much of it is the fault of RINO Robin Vos.

Will defeat of conservative Republicans in pramaries by even more conservative Republicans enable Democrats to win more elections in November? How significant is the Independent vote in some of these states?
Apparently Todd and David don’t get it! These are RINO’s being replaced by republicans. The new crowd wants to return to law and order. The new crowd demands election integrity. In 2020 we did not have election integrity and it needs to be fixed. If these two dolts can’t see what is happening in this country then they don’t deserve to have a forum like ABC to spew their communist ideas.
The letter after the name means jack anymore.
The only reason political parties still exist is to give voters the illusion of choice.
A pol is either loyal to our former republic or to Deep State.
We need to find and run our own candidates instead of allowing Deep State to pick them for us.
And that includes finding and running MAGA red Donald Dem DINOs in ‘Rat primaries.
Until we do THAT we are fighting only half a battle.

I’m not sure what the processes were in each state/county.
But we basically voted as in a normal election.
Updated tallies published Friday night show Kent, a former Green Beret who trailed by roughly 5,000 votes three days ago, is now just 257 votes behind the seven-term incumbent.

For those of us who had no interest in voting for a McCain or Romney, this will be our lasting legacy and i thank President Trump, particularly the three Supreme Court justices his hard fought victory gave us- with no help from the McConnell/Ryan cabal.

Do Repubs have a ballot harvesting operation in place in states that allow it?
I haven’t heard anyone talk about this. But ballot harvesting, supposedly, is how the Dems swept the Trump midterms.Dems were ballot harvesting and Repubs didn’t even know what ballot harvesting was, so no operation.
The need to get that figured out ASAP if they want to win. And i know many REpubs don’t. But we do.
