Indeed! Tomboys were generally more fun all around, and good company. I can think of two girlfriends from my teen years who were Tomboyish, and they were interested in life beyond their hair, makeup, etc. AND they were sweet and passionately feminine. One almost became my wife years later, and the other became stunningly beautiful after being less than homely growing up. They’re still very cool people. Beauty radiating from within does wonders.

How nice was that! I think growing up as a tomboy I certainly learned how to relate to the opposite sex without a hitch. ...that went right into my teen years and even today. Guys make great friends but that has to be time tempered or they fall in love. ...LOL.

The only down side was from girls who merclessly made fun of me when in first week of Junior High I hadn’t learned yet to shave my legs! The guys never said a word!
