The Biden administration's next security assistance package for Ukraine is expected to be $1 billion, one of the largest so far, and include munitions for long-range weapons and armoured medical transport vehicles, three sources briefed on the matter told Reuters on Friday.
Last Monday, the Pentagon announced a separate security assistance package for Ukraine valued at up to $550 million, including additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS).
The new package would be funded under the Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA), in which the president can authorize the transfer of articles and services from U.S. stocks without congressional approval in response to an emergency.

We are looking at the spendthrift liberal “logic”: throw tons of money into a problem (in this case, the Russian invasion of Ukraine) in the hopes that the money itself will solve the problem. At least, the liberals argue, they are “doing something”.
If that logic had worked for Ukraine, that country should have driven the Russians out a long time ago.

Instead of just handing the weapons over, we should use them for their intended purpose and turn Ukraine and Russia into smoking rubble.
Yeah, I know.. ain't gonna happen. It's an idealistic view, but I like it.

Don’t bother. You’ll be called a Putin lackey for attempting to circumvent the CIA/Deep State narrative of the near glorious success of Ukraine. They only need $100 billion more, and a new gay marriage law, and things will turn around very quickly.

Has anyone ever seen a report anywhere showing how much - exactly - European countries have ponied up for Ukraine so far?

the president can authorize the transfer of articles and services from U.S. stocks without congressional approval in response to an emergency.
Keeping his 10% fee intact and payable of course...
