Elon Musk Sounds the Alarm on Russia-Ukraine War

It would be an understatement to say that Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, is very interested in Russia's war in Ukraine.

NATO countries and experts see this war as a battle for democracy.

Musk Sides with Ukraine

"We cannot let Putin take over Ukraine. This is crazy," the Chief Executive Officer of the premium EV maker said in March during an interview with Mathias Döpfner, the CEO of Business Insider's parent company, Axel Springer.

During the same interview, the tech tycoon explained that someone of his rank had a responsibility and should therefore use the power and influence that is his to influence the conduct of world affairs. Musk has more than 102.4 million followers on Twitter and runs several companies (Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring Company, Neuralink).

"I think I can be helpful in conflicts," Musk said. "I do whatever I think is most likely to ensure that the future is good for humanity. Those are the actions that I will take."

Among the actions taken by Musk since the start of the conflict, there is one that has particularly irritated Russia. The serial entrepreneur decided to provide Starlink antennas, the satellite internet access service of his other company SpaceX, to Ukraine when the country's telecommunications infrastructure had been largely destroyed by Russian bombings.

Starlink guarantees secure Internet access and thus appeared as a response to the Russian communication machine around this war because Ukrainians could communicate freely with the outside world and give their version of events.

The entrepreneur also went so far as to propose a duel to Putin, in an attempt to end the war. This proposal had earned him threats on his life from the Russian president's loyalists. Putin never responded to the offer.

“Musk was trying to ensure VOICE of Ukraine could be heard.”

Musk supports Ukraine. I love his comment:

“If you attempt to take out Starlink, this is not easy because there are 2000 satellites.

That means a lot of anti-satellite missiles,” Musk said. “I hope we do not have to put this to a test, but I think we can launch satellites faster than they can launch anti-satellites missiles.”

“ZELENSKYY ran on an anti-corruption platform but anyone who is a student of SOVIET-ERA history knows how the influence of the state filters throughout society and has all sorts of unintended consequences that are difficult to correct.
Imagine being the child of a mafia don and then he dies unexpectedly of a heart attack. Your mother comes to you and you discover for the first time in your life what your father was doing. Then, she tells you, “You are the new don now.”

HOW MUCH CHANGE AND “FAIRNESS” could you implement with your newfound “POWER”?
Democratic and especially populist power is reliant on very strong public support. BUT, that doesn’t eliminate INSTITUTIONAL OPPOSITION and STRUCTURAL BARRIERS.[i.e. deep-state]

Zelensky, more to his surprise than expectation, INHERITED this exact situation. He has to WORK THROUGH, WITH AND AGAINST DECADES of INSTITUTIONALIZED SOVIET INFLUENCE and combat all of the obstacles, resistance and inertia it created.

CHANGE like this is hard—VERY HARD.

After 2014 Dignity Revolution [Maidan] measures were taken to stop corruption:
1- Electronic procurement platform Prozorro was introduced to make government spending transparent
2- Government registries were made public so every journalist can investigate corruption schemes
3- Public officials are required to publish official declarations of their spending and spending of their close family
4- New anti-corruption court and DBR (FBI analogue) were introduced for corruption investigations
5- Many public services were turned online
As a result Ukraine corruption perception rating drastically improved same as Doing Business position.

Zelenskyy now has been working with the US to build his country’s democracy. He is probably one of the more honest politicians in recent history. If he didn’t care, he could easily have fled the country at the first sign of trouble, leaving them to Putin’s troops who would have rolled in and put a puppet government in power.

At the governmental level not long ago National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, National Agency for Prevention of Corruption and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have been established. Although some results of their work Ukrainian citizens can see. There is also an initiative to establish anti-corruption court. There is a widespread support for this initiative and most likely the court will be set up in near future. It remains to be seen how much of a breakthrough will the newly established institution bring about.”

What’s Musk going to do. He doesn’t look like he’s ever fired a weapon. Maybe he can give free Internet to all Ukrainians.

Musk is already helping Russia with his Starlink system, as the many Russian-speakers in Donbass are using the system to let the Russians know what to target.

Go find some Democrat for Dummies forum if you want to be stupid. Otherwise, educate yourself as to what led up to this situation.

“And, Ukrainian military tracing Russian phone calls! LOL”

But why bother, when you have the entire Western Intelligence Apparatus doing the same for you.

Russia’s the big winner on this one.

Lol an electric vehicle Mega billionaire who has eaten many meals off taxpayer tables is against a country that supplies oil n gas. Needs a shocked face alert.
He knows soros, Obama and Al Gore pay more. Thank goodness we have a ranking elite tell us to embrace energy shortages unless he benefits directly. When was the last time he did anything working class Americans do.
The globalists cannot go green without the physical natural resources of Russia.
Obamas puppet master zelinsky doesn’t care how many Ukrainians pay He signed on under Obama for his own selfish desires. But he dances.
