Poll Finds Only 1 Per Cent of Americans See Russia as a Major Problem
Summit News ^ | 3 August, 2022 | Paul Joseph Watson

A new Gallup poll has found that a mere 1 per cent of Americans view Russia as a major problem, with far more concern expressed about inflation, bad governance and the state of the economy.

Shortly after Russia’s invasion, the issue was seen as a top priority, but now just 1 per cent of Americans believe it is the most important issue facing the nation.

In contrast, 17 per cent of Americans see inflation as the most important problem right now, along with 17 per cent who say it’s bad government and 12 per cent concerned about the economy in general.

In fact, Russia doesn’t even break into the top 10, with Americans seeing crime, immigration and gun control all as more important matters.

8 per cent of Americans believing abortion to be the most important issue also represents a new record since Gallup began tracking it in 1984.

Notably, COVID-19, the January 6 hearings and climate change all fail to make the top 10 most important issues despite generally relentless media coverage.

As we previously highlighted, support for further US involvement in Ukraine collapsed when Americans were told exactly what that would entail for the economy and their cost of living.

There’s a hell of a bigger problem when the Biden family takes 3 1/2 MILLION dollars from the mayor of Moscow!

I guess that’s why China has to be trotted out now with Nancy’s visit to Taiwan.

It’s near $60 billion now ‘officially’, but truth be told, probably more than that when you add in equipment and weaponry sent, overtime and hazard pay for various US intelligence agency and military advisors in Ukraine, etc. In other words, the US has probably spent more on/in Ukraine than the entire 2021 Russian military budget.

We’re spending in Ukraine,
Lives and money in Ukraine,
What a war-ious feeling,
So Nazi again!

Okay, mushroom cloud,
We’re out and we’re proud,
We're spending and resetting in Ukraine!

Their narrative is failing. The US neocons want war, but the people prefer cheap gas and an end to inflation. They need to work harder at manufacturing consent, their current propaganda just isn’t working.

Yes, but those 1% are concentrated in the US State Department, DoD, CIA and a few neocon think-tanks in Washington DC

Good news. Democrats were/are count(ng on the perception of Biden as a decisive wartime leader to overcome the disastrous realities of his malfeasance. Notice when the rats talk about “this is a time of war?” It doesn’t fly. They may already have dropped that failed meme and moved on to something else, but the people are not following. Reality is too pressing for irrelevant attempts at propaganda.

This shows how well the US Senate listens to the American voter. The Senate voted 98-1-1 to enlarge NATO’s border by 800 additional destabilizing miles. 800 mostly unarmed, peaceful miles of border currently. And what chumps are going to spend the trillions over the coming decades to arm, supply and man that new deadbeat NATO ally border? That’s right, our children and grandchildren. All to counter the existential Russian threat to America. Since Russia never attacked us or NATO and never showed any inclination to do so, we must be reacting to the dire 2016 Russia, Russia, Russia warnings dreamed up by Hilary.

Russia is a major problem due to its actions regarding energy and our government’s actions regarding wasting money on war with Russia. That war would be over now or very soon if not for the Biden administration. Energy, food prices and inflation would all be lower.

I see Haiti, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Brazil and the rest of Aztecan South America as the REAL problem. There hasn't been one damned revolution down there ever since we opened our border and let in all of the flotsam and jetsam in those countries and paid them to stay here, vote Democrat, make welfare babies, litter our roads, crowd our schools and hospitals, trash our retail stores, and create a tsunami in apartment developments. The men all get military haircuts and wear gold chains and camo. Has anyone noticed? There used to be at least one revolt per month, as I recall. Now the ruling classes down there all have cocktail parties at night and smoke big cigars, laughing at the estupido americano.

I agree.

Our open borders and the government and media's love for illegal aliens are a far greater problem than Russia.

Sending billions to the Ukraine?

That is why Russia is not a problem - the Ukrainians are effectively demilitarizing them.

Every month sets the Russian Military back more than a year’s worth of production/reconstitution - if they had the budget for it, which is looking less and less likely, as their economy and finances head over the cliff.

Send more Artillery!

a mere 1 per cent of Americans view Russia as a major problem

I think that 1% posts here, frightened to death that Russia is going to invade the EU and then march on to Washington. True crackpots.

“A major problem” does not equal “the most important problem.”

Simple case of a misleading headline.

Obviously, that percentage is much higher here. It's the only issue some here post or discuss.
