At the very beginning of Covid I predicted a surge in births from people being stuck home with nothing else to do.
Was I ever wrong on that one.

Perhaps something else is going on here. Maybe the people in these countries are so ashamed of failing the Branch Covidian IQ test that they can’t bear the thought of explaining their stupidity to their children years from now.

I kinda figured we’d have a baby boom of sorts.
That we haven’t is interesting.
I’m sure the economic nightmare figures in.
But it would be smart to see if there’s anything else involved.
Now you are expected to invest in a college education for yourself and your children, pay the taxes for an extended public education system, and in many cases supply equipment (phones, computers, cars) for your employer's use without charge, all while your real wages decline.
My daughter had to get the shot for her job. She had two healthy children prior to this, but after getting the shot, she's had two miscarriages. She is deeply hurt about this.
So no, people haven't stopped trying to have children during the pandemic.
