Even if there is a Red wave there’s not much get excited about. The Republicans won’t do anything with it in any case. They just don’t want to lead.

BUT, that doesn’t mean you should discount what he says, it just means that if he predicts a Republican win... he does it reluctantly and you can pretty much count of it happening nearly 100%.

The current crop of GOP front-runners is far more MAGA than GOPe. Sure, some of them will crash on the rocks in congress as they often do, but there are also some real firebrands so it should disrupt the status quo a bit.
Look at the disruption the squad caused in the democrat party.
We will have enough in the MAGA squad for the house if the trendline continues to exert a lot of pressure on the GOPe.
Changes in the senate are most important because McConnell knows the game inside and out and has a safe cadre of votes in his back pocket. We need to perform well in 2022 and in 2024 to change the senate significantly.
I agree with this analysis. There are several reasons why there will not be a red wave, or that it could become a red ripple rather than a red wave. One, Republicans are simply not as popular as we here seem to think. Two, party affiliations, esp among white liberals, have become religious, and untethered from policies. In other words, they no longer vote based on the bad impact of Democratic policies, but simply based on the ideals and the rhetoric spouted by the politicians. This is similar to how Christians don't renounce their religion because of one bad pastor or one bad church, but adhere to the ideals in the Bible. The idea that millions of Democrats will switch over and vote Republicans because of bad Democrat policies is no longer true.
Another reason is that we no longer have a rallying focus to increase our vote. In 1994 there was Rush Limbaugh at his peak, in 2010 there was the Tea Party movement. Both helped us win big victories. This time, it will be more muted.
I predict a 15-20 seat pickup in the House (much smaller than the big Clinton-era 1994 or Obama-era 2010 waves). I predict the Dems will expand their majority in the Senate.

If that's the case, The GOP will have failed again. If they ran a proper campaign with great ads and great candidates they would easily pick up 30 seats.
The Founders would be dismayed by the careerism that has taken hold in the Swamp. Not the way it was intended to be.
