How's everyone doing this morning?
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Did you and Gizmo enjoy your Sonic supper after a fun time t the lake yesterday? Was there a crowd out there or did you have it pretty much to yourselves?
The Blue Angels are really fabulous up close and personal, as are the Thunderbirds.
And every time we went, Fat Albert did touch and goes. Super fun to see.
Thanks, unique!
radu.....#50!!
The pilots with both teams are VERY impressive. Some of the maneuvers take your breath away.
My favorite part of the Thunderbirds’ show was at the end. They’d zipped all around throughout the show, disappearing and coming back several times. They disappeared and we kept watching and waiting for them to come back. All of a sudden, they were DIRECTLY overhead, low, and they kicked it up - - booming. I dropped to my knees, screaming. I’m surprised I didn’t wet my pants, it scared me so bad. LOL!
They’d slipped around to come in behind us and basically glided in so we didn’t hear them coming.
I HAD to go back the second day. When they disappeared and I knew what they were going to do, I didn’t turn around to watch them come in. I just held my breath, knowing what was coming. It still made me drop to my knees when they blasted off from RIGHT overhead. What a rush!!!
Thanks.
I didn’t even noticed I’d fallen into it tonight. :-D
WOW! That would be quite the rush...and an even bigger shock the first day!!
Sonic? Sonic? One of eateries I wish we had. We only have the commercials.
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...did you and Gizmo have a fun day?
Hope you have a marvelous adventure today.
Shock is an understatement. LOL They were so low and loud!! I wasn’t the only one who dropped to their knees and screamed. We all loved it though.
We sure did.

Yes, we loved big ol’ Fat Albert. So agile for such a big guy.
I remember one air show at Whidbey Island where they dropped a bomb way off in a field and my brother and I (5 and 6 at the time) were so excited.
For all the air shows we went to when I was growing up, I don’t believe we ever saw the Thunderbirds. That sounds so cool - I definitely would remember that! LOL
We got to go to a couple of aircraft carrier shows when I was a kiddo. The last one I attended was on the JFK in Naples, Italy. I was old enough by then to be quite nervous right along with my mom as they pulled off their precision landing stunts. It was a great thrill, though.

You got to see some cool stuff at the air shows you went to!

Oh my! That's one kind of air show I believe I'd have to pass on. It sounds thrilling but I'd pass out from holding my breath. LOL I hold my breath just watching landings and take-offs from aircraft carriers on TV or in movies. (:-0
Howdy, luvie.
Looks like you slept in today. LOL
Bummer that you’re still baking. We had rain all morning (it just sopped about an hour ago) and that kept our temp in the low 70s. Holy cow!
It’s brief. Tomorrow will be in the low to mid 90s. Gotta enjoy this while we can.
I did sleep in and it was wonderful. And now it’s naptime. Are you seeing a trend here? ;D
That is wonderful that you got more rain! And the temp in the 70s? It sounds like heaven to me! How much rain did you get?
See ya later. Hope it rains again to keep those 90s down to something livable.
I am number 3!
😆👍
We got 1.65 inch this morning. With Saturday’s rain, that’s a hair over 4 inches and that helps the water table a lot.
Hubby’s already groaning about needing to mow this week. It got VERY shaggy around here in the blink of an eye.
No more rain for a few days and chances will be low when they do come around late in the week. High enough to make the 90s mighty steamy though. Ugh!
LOL! The big disadvantage of a nice soaking rain...MOWING! He’ll get over it.
I just hope the crops have been saved. That’s the big thing. That and the fact that you’ll be living in a steam bath for a while.
Meanwhile, i’m jellie.
