GOP senators are skeptical damaged Trump can win in 2024
The Hill ^ | July 30 2022 | BY ALEXANDER BOLTON

The damaging revelations of the Jan. 6 committee hearings are fueling skepticism among Senate Republicans that former President Trump can win the GOP nomination in 2024 or even run for another term in the White House.

One Republican senator, who requested anonymity to comment on the former president, said the “cascade” of embarrassing details about Trump’s conduct in the weeks before Jan. 6, 2021, and during the attack on the U.S. Capitol will seriously damage his political viability ahead of the 2024 election.

They’re so sure and confident that they refuse to say who they are when they’re speaking to biased media. Right

The GOP needs to be careful or he could go bull moose.

Apparently we the people don’t want those Senators, either

It only works to scare the GOP congressman and senators. Just like Russia collusion did. Everyone else not so much.

I don’t think even Trump now can salvage that stinking party.

Since January 6th, Donald Trump is the only person I would ever leave my house on Election Day to vote for again.

I think it is too early to tell how this will go. Trump had some good points such as focusing our funding on projects that benefit US taxpayers. His adhominem attacks were a turn off to many, including me. I do agree with Trump's “America First” platform. At some point, other countries need to get their houses in order. The US has printed and spent a lot of un-backed currency and that needs to stop. The Fed needs stop it.

And they have been working with the Communists (democRATs) to see that this happens. Who cares about the future of our Republic when there are DC cocktail parties to attend?

"Trump is skeptical damaged GOP senators can win in 2024"

There! Fixed it.

Speaking of 2024, Trump's red tsunami of patriot supporters are reminded that they must vote twice this election year. Your first vote is to primary career RINO incumbents in federal and state governments. Your second vote is to replace outgoing Democrats and RINOs with Trump-endorsed patriot candidates.

Insights welcome.

“Endorsing all those guys...”

President Trump had a rather limited agenda the points of which the Rino’s were not against in any way. It was thought and still is here on FR depending on how you phrase it, that their help was necessary.
1. Secure the border.
2. Take care of the veterans.
3. Bring back manufacturing.
With number 2 there has been some success.
That’s all and so much for 3D chess!

The only GOP members who see DJTrump as either damaged or hurt by the plethora of Jan6 lies are RINO’s. Bugger the lot of them.

I’m sure all the GOP Senators will do whatever is in their power to kneecap him so he can’t run. Par for the course. Who cares. Wish they would say so publicly so Trump could destroy their “careers”

"I think he would gain an awful lot in stature if he bowed out of the 2024 race and endorsed DeSantis."

Unfortunately, if and when DeSantis is ever nominated for President, and if he happened to get elected, the same evil cabal that harassed Trump from the time he declared himself a candidate, attacked him all through his Presidency, organized the fraud-inspired coup on 2020, as well as the continued attempts to make him ineligible to run again, will do the same thing to DeSantis. And the really sad part is that the GOP has been a collaborator all along the way.

The Senate in particular is full of RINOs. Disregard them until we can replace several of them.

Going to take awhile to overhaul the Senate. That’s just the way it’s designed.

This bears repeating for the DeSantis Pollyannas.

The Media-social media Attack Machine has been honed to a razor's edge.
