CO2 only absorbs a band of IR frequencies (like a color, just not in our visible spectrum). That absorbed energy heats the atmosphere. There is only so much light at that frequency, and it is almost fully absorbed with cO2 ppm under 400.

I’m not sure your argument holds up.
To me, the bigger question is: Our inability to properly model cloud formation and precipitation. Water Vapor plays a much bigger role in dampening climate changes. Unless we fully understand it, we can’t accurately project the result of increasing GH gases.
