Does this chart suggest that each “warming period” is COLDER than the previous? Yea... it kind of does. And that's pretty frightening when you overlap with the longer term trend that shows major Ice Ages. We're overdue.

Yes.
Picture a stock market graph for the last 100 years or so. The graph moved ever higher to the right, right? Now flip that graph around and the downward trend left-to-right mimics the the downward trend of the temperature of the earth for the last 8000 years.
