Cruz endorses Kleefisch, putting him at odds with Trump in Wisconsin's GOP gubernatorial primary

With two weeks to go until Wisconsin’s primary, former conservative Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch is getting the backing of one of the biggest names in her party right as she fights for the GOP gubernatorial nomination in the race to face off in November in the key battleground state with Democratic Gov. Tony Evers.

Kleefisch on Tuesday was endorsed by conservative firebrand Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, in an announcement shared first with Fox News.

"I'm proud to endorse Rebecca Kleefisch for governor of Wisconsin. Rebecca will fight for a stronger economy, school choice so parents are back in charge of their kids' education, and she will work to protect Life and our Second Amendment. I ask my fellow conservatives to join me in supporting Rebecca’s campaign for governor today!" Cruz emphasized in a statement.

Kleefisch, who served eight years as lieutenant governor under former Gov. Scott Walker, is one of the two polling front-runners in the GOP primary, along with Tim Michels – a multimillionaire owner of a construction company who in early June was endorsed by former President Trump. The field of four Republican candidates also includes state lawmaker Timothy Ramthun. Retired Marine Kevin Nicholson suspended his GOP campaign for governor earlier this month.

They are desperate to stop ANY Trump endorsed candidate from getting the Executive power of a state.

They got Kemp and Little renominated, stopped Herbster in Nebraska and are working to undermine Mastriano in Pennsylvania (who Won the nomination overwhelmingly despite them).

They're going to fail in stopping Lake in Arizona next Tuesday so Cruz and Pence have teamed up to stop Michels in Wisconsin.

Cruz showed his true colors in 2016....especially when he went to the border with Glen Beck to give teddy bears to the ILLEGAL ALIEN INVADERS.

I dislike Cruz very much. He’s a total back stabber.

What is Ted Cruz, a senator from a different and far away state, doing endorsing a governor from Wisconsin? Who does he think he is?

This has anti Trump written all over it.

According to Fox news Cruz is a “conservative firebrand”. When have you heard Fox call Bernie a “Socialist firebrand” or any leftist a firebrand?

Cruz hates Trump. Sometimes he tries to disguise it, but it’s there.

From the article: Kleefisch, along with Ramthun, earlier this year trekked to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida in hopes of landing his support. However, Kleefisch told Fox News a day after the former president’s backing of Michels that “Donald Trump says he likes winners, and I’m the only person in this race who’s won statewide. In fact, I’ve won statewide four times.”

Is Kleefisch *really* an inferior candidate to Michels, who is currently shown as doing worse vs. Evers than Kleefisch is? For those who have no clue: she isn’t some squishy moderate, is as conservative (if not more so) as the other candidates who are running and, as noted, has actually been elected to something before.

But of course Trump is never wrong with his endorsements.... BTW, Dr. Oz says “hi”.

“Cruz hates Trump.”

Cruz can hate Trump all he wants, but his job has nothing to do with backstabbing trump in Wisconsin. He lacks the humility necessary to be a good statesman he pretends to be. They Trump is.

He needs to go to his own state border and fix that.

In 2014 to first half 2015, I was sold on Cruz.

Boy was I a dum-dum.

But at least he was there to defeat Beto O’Dork, ..... barely.

That makes two of us, hell, I even donated many hundreds of dollars to Cruz.

I get sick when I think of how much money I've donated to squish pubbies over time.

I donated money to Kathy Barnette and I don't mind donating to a losing candidate, but now I'm stuck with oz.

Unlike some PA voters here on FR, I'm going to vote for oz because I live less that 25 miles from Braddock, PA where fetterman was the mayor and he made a declining town turn into a boarded up ghetto.

There are thousands of images like this one.

I don’t think Michaels will defeat Evers either. I’m voting for Kleefisch. Michaels is the democrat’s candidate. He’s who the democrats want to run against.

multimillionaire owner

They keep saying that about Michels, but the Wisconsin spends roughly $42 billion a year, all taken by force of law.

If one were to agree with Cruz would that person be a hater of all of their fellow freepers? Can’t we all just have a little lock step thinking around here?
