Donald Trump Uses First Speech Back in D.C. to Bash Democrats on Crime-Ridden Cities

WASHINGTON, District of Columbia — Former President Donald Trump dedicated most of his keynote address at AFPI’s America First Agenda Summit on Tuesday to crime, one of the main issues facing Americans across the country.

During his speech, Trump said public safety is one of the “core issues” facing the country. “There is no higher priority than cleaning up our streets, controlling our borders, stopping the drugs from pouring in, and quickly restoring law and order,” he said.

“In the Democrat rule, in Democrat-run cities, Democrat-run states, and a Democrat-run federal government, the criminals have been given free rein more than ever before,” the former president said. “There’s never been a time like this. Our streets are riddled with needles and soaked with the blood of innocent victims.”

Trump also said the “once great cities” where the middle class used to “flock,” such as New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, are now crime-ridden “warzones.” He continued, “Every day, there are stabbings, rapes, murders, and violent assaults … Bloody turf wars rage … [and] parents are worried sick that their kids will get shot on the way to school.”

“We’re living in such a different country … Our country is now a cesspool of crime. We have blood, death, and suffering on a scale once unthinkable because of the Democrat Party’s effort to destroy and dismantle law enforcement all throughout America. It has to stop, and it has to stop now,” Trump explained.

The former president described some recent violent crimes during his lengthy hour-long speech: a 73-year-old man being attacked, a 35-year-old woman being stalked, a young girl struck in the head with a bullet while driving with her family, and a criminal being arrested and released more than half a dozen times.

Law and Order planks win elections, especially when crime is rampant and it is combined with a collapsing economy.

The Democrats have the perfect come-back.

Orange man mean...

Papers will swoon for days...

I loved the speech, yet President Trump seemed subdued, almost sad. Tired...I feel so sorry for him. 75 million+ Americans voted for him and then he was ripped off, of a solid, righteous win, right in front of our faces.
A one-afternoon protest on Jan 6th was all we could come up with? That protest should have gone on, for months, in diverse places, until the utter, bald-faced, corruption was rectified. But it did not and was not. Now, he has been forced to plead his case, ad infinitum, ever since. It’s not right.

“We’re living in such a different country …”

Yep. Not the one I grew up in.

Yes, the RNC and GOPe are both on board.

The RNC and GOP sure don’t do much to motivate people to vote for the party. Its more of an anti-conservative party than anything else.

I totally agree.

I think we’ve seen examples where they publicly join the
Democrats to put us down.

A little over three months before the election and nobody knows what the GOP stands for other than gaining more seats. It has no agenda, no convictions, no principles and no vision. Its an empty shell of a party.

That’s true. It’s a sad situation, but what the hey.

It’s as if they are worried we might take the majority in
both the Senate and House.

I worry about what they’ll do to scuttle Trump’s run.

I think the days of them being able to do that, are over.

Those two entities have no credibility any longer.

We vote for who we think is best, not what they think
is best.

They’re moaning about lower donations. I’m surprised
they get any.

The more Trump talks policy the more it seems like he’s ready to announce for 2024. Could an announcement be imminent?

Let's hope so.

The sooner the better!

We need to get this fight started!

Lie. He bashed Democrat policies that are directly responsible for the carnage we are now seeing.

I’ve donated to Trump and a select few other people in past years but not donating a dime to anyone in the GOP now, with the exception of Trump (or perhaps DeSantis).

I think that’s best.

The RNC and the GOPe don’t share our goals.

Its up to the RNC and GOPe to produce RESULTS that motivate conservatives to vote for them. They ask us to vote for them every two years but give us nothing in return.

They want our money and our votes, but not our principles and values.

I agree.

I liken how the RNC and GOPe treat us, to how the Democrats treat
Blacks.
