Trump-Backed U.S. Senate Candidates Undefeated in 2022 Primaries
Breitbart ^ | 5 Jul 2022 | NICK GILBERTSON

All 13 U.S. Senate candidates endorsed by former President Donald Trump have prevailed in their Republican primary races.

The hot streak for Trump-backed Senate candidates started with J.D. Vance in Ohio, who took home his primary nomination on May 3. Vance, the author of Hillbillly Elegy, received a late Trump endorsement in his race and proved victorious in a crowded primary field, taking home 32.3 percent of the vote. Trump’s team told Breitbart News that the Ohio candidate was polling at around ten percent in fifth place when he secured the 45th president’s nod on April 15.

The following are the 13 U.S. Senate nominees who were backed by Trump and earned general election nominations:

  1. J.D. Vance — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate Ohio
  2. Sen. Mike Crapo (R-ID) — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Idaho
  3. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Kentucky
  4. Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in North Carolina
  5. Dr. Mehmet Oz — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania
  6. Sen. John Boozman (R-AR) — Republican nominee for U.S Senate in Arkansas
  7. Herschel Walker — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Georgia
  8. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Iowa
  9. Former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Nevada
  10. Sen. John Hoeven (R-ND) — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in North Dakota
  11. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in South Carolina
  12. Katie Britt — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Alabama
  13. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Utah

But the MSM keep telling us that Trump’s influence is waning.

Come on. 7 are incumbents with no challengers of not. The proof will be in the pudding. Think Vance, Budd, Oz-that the out on a limb group. Britt(red state),Lazalt(who else is there?),same with Walker-nothing to lose. Not much heavy lifting done here.

And yet, the political capital that President Trump gains is immense.

Seven of those were givens.

Regardless, primaries are one thing. Now the key is to see how the do in the general election.

Based on his picks during his presidency at least half of those picks will stab him in the back the first chance they get after using him to get elected. Face it, Trumps biggest weakness is in picking loyal people.

"Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Kentucky"

This may put certain posters on FR in a quandary, given this: Tulsi Gabbard, Rand Paul Placed on List of Russian Propagandists by Ukraine

Does this prove Trump is a "putin puffer" for endorsing a Russian propagandist for Senate? Does this mean the accusations of Trump-Russian collusion are true?
Given the BS being slung on this forum, I'm surprised that hasn't been stated, or would stating such make things too obvious to the people using this forum?

Right. I'd rather have his nominees lose their primaries then lose their general elections.

You know, we may get stabbed in the back a number of times.

Do you think that’s worse than getting stabbed in the front
thousands of times?

Do you really want the Democrats to be the chairmen of all
the scandal investigations and impeachments?

Do you want them controlling what gets voted on or addressed
by Congress?

You may not like this, but the presidents on our side
before this didn’t have this sort of success rate replacing
our own guys, trying to make things better.

They just went ahead slapping each other on the back and
not doing a damn thing when we did have the majority.

Lighten up a little.

Face it, Trump's biggest weakness is in picking loyal people.

Or maybe it's the other way around. Few people these days have the honor and decency to be loyal. How do you know someone is going to betray you until they do?

Vance and Oz are blown opportunities to hold onto seats. Oz is likely to lose PA, and Vance has, so far, practically given the seat to Tim Ryan.

Huh?

I don't want Democrats running committees. That's why I said I'd rather Trump's people lose in the primaries than lose in the general election. Not really thrilled with some of his endorsements, because I think we might lose seats we might otherwise have won.

Okay, I get your emphasis better now.

I’ll grant you there is a chance of that happening, but if
we don’t try to primary our RINOs, we’ll never be able to
turn things for the better.

We either take the chance, or simply forfeit any possible
way of getting people to vote with us on important matters.

We’re kind of screwed either way.

Hopefully the public will understand.

I think people can understand the concept of us needing
people who agree with us in there.

How do you know someone is going to betray you until they do?

That's why being a good judge of the character of others is such an important quality for a political leader,, and why it helps if a candidate has executive experience so they have subordinates whom they can trust.

Otherwise, you're going to be taking a lot of risks, and be overly dependent on the advice of others.

Oh great. You are one of those people who’d rather get a RINO back in office rather than possibly lose a seat. To my mind, what would be the difference?

Dr. Oz is practically a Democrat. In fact, I think he was a Democrat until a couple of weeks ago.
