SAVANNAH, Ga. — Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp testified Monday against Former President Donald Trump.
Kemp’s testimony comes as a Fulton County Grand Jury continues to investigate whether Trump or others illegally tried to interfere in the 2020 election.
Legal Analyst Rory Riley-Topping explains the rarity of a sitting governor testifying against a former president in his own political party.
“We don’t often necessarily see sitting governors getting involved in these investigations unless there’s something pretty big going on,” Riley-Topping said.

Has his testimony been released?
Grand jury testimony is secret.
I know.
Kemp has it out for Trump.
They are NOT in the same party.
There are now ONLY two parties:
Deep State Party, and
Patriot Party.
I don’t believe anything I don’t hear or see myself anymore
What was he supposed to do? Just not show up?
Whole conversation is already been released and only tape. I never knew the duties of the d.a included gaslighting
....sadly, I believe you are right on the money...but perhaps there is really only ONE party....the so-called Uniparty...at times I don’t see a dime’s worth of difference between the Republican and Democrat (not “Democratic”) parties...BTW, can you say “Governor Abrams”.....??
Sure it is...Wash Compost will have it shortly
There are two parties, at war with each other.
The Deep State Party controls perhaps 98% at the federal level. I’d guesstimate 50% at the state level. And, say, 25% at the local level (on average, as this varies quite a bit, state to state)
Quite the mess.
Imagine getting your car stolen only to have the thieves accuse you of interfering with their theft.
There...fixed it for you.
Anything they can do to tarnish Trumps name. Gonna be a 4 year roast. I hope Trump gains ground. They don’t want to take him to court because there will be discovery..
I agree 100%. The so called, Republican Party is now actually three parties, with two of those overlapping in Wants, Needs & Desires.
I truly believe that as soon as the Primary Season is over (Labor Day) we will see even more of a separation. I expect to see many of the Vichy-Republicans and GOPe-Republicans endorsing Democrats and other leftest candidates.
Turning a Red Wave into a light red ripple.
Is Kemp really any better than Stacey Abrams? I have my doubts. At least we can organize our base against Abrams - Kemp just demoralizes conservatives. That seems like the worst option.
They’ve got him this time! The walls are closing in...
He can ignore a DNC Witch hunt event rather than give it PR and oxygen . .
He is a sitting governor of the supposed rival party .
