Mark Aungst, who was facing up to six months in prison and a $5,000 fine, killed himself on July 20, according to his obituary.
Aungst was among the many Jan. 6 demonstrators caught up in a protracted legal process stemming from the chaos of that day. He had pled guilty to a charge of demonstrating or parading in a restricted building and was due to be sentenced in September.
The deceased reportedly walked through the Capitol building taking photographs during the incident.

Why would you think that?
Would his imprisonment satisfy your desire for justice for J6 prisoners?
Would it satisfy you?
Trump is a heartless crook, right?
Why would you exaggerate my observation to such a level of hyperbole?
Will we continue to answer each others questions with questions of our own?
Some hate Trump so bad, they can’t think straight.
But should Antifa receive a blanket pardon as you suggest, so they can never be prosecuted?
You blame Trump but not the DOJ?
The DOJ is arresting and hurting the J6 prisoners, but that’s OK. It’s Trump that should be blamed.
The thread is one of many concerning injustices against J6 prisoners, but you decided to engage a discussion of how it’s Trump’s fault. Are you denying this, or do we need links to your previous posts on this thread?
the many Jan. 6 demonstrators caught up in a protracted legal process stemming from the chaos of that day.
A damned lie. It is an illegal holding of a defendant. That an American news organization is covering for a blatently unconstitutional government act against a citizen tells you where we really are today.
And on his own recognizance. The judge thought, “Trying to kill a Republican? What’s the crime?”
That’s correct.
Antifa wearing red MAGA hats were involved in breaking into the Capitol. That will be coming out from the petabytes of cell tracing data, some of which were used in 2000 Mules
Had Trump issued a blanket pardon for all arrested relating to J6, he would inadvertently pardon Antifa paramilitaries.
Post #54 headline reads he will pardon J6 prisoners who were treated unfairly.
But you are correct, there was no way in hell Trump could have known who to pardon and who not to pardon.
Why is it the certain people always get around to blaming Trump when there is injustice?
Trump put himself in a position of leadership. Sometimes it seems he fails to lead. Its hard to say in my opinion, hes been in some tough and complicated spots. I suspect he knows better than any of us how far gone the government of our nation is...
He could have but that was a risky proposition. While it is true that most people arrested acted peacefully during their time in the Capitol, a significant minority have weapons charges and assault charged filed against them. A blanket pardon lets them out too, and makes Trump look like he's soft on crime.
At the time trump left office it appeared the only people being arrested were smashing Capitol windows and fighting with police. I can only image what the media and bedwetters in the GOP would’ve said then.
But you said Antifa wasn’t being prosecuted or held anyway. A blanket pardon would have had the same outcome for Antifa, but NOT for Jan 6th prisoners.
You are behaving like a complete prat.
I said, "Good point", to someone's observation that Trump could be doing more to help the J6 victims.
How that translates, to your addled mind, to BLAMING Trump for ANY of this, is a demonstration of a complete lack of reading comprehension and not just jumping, but POLE VAULTING, to conclusions not in evidence.
Never go full retard.
Read #54, #85, #89, then see if you still think Trump failed to show adequate leadership.
I am reminded of the many cases where a young pretty woman wears a short skirt, is gang-raped, and left for dead.
Yet there are unbelievably certain people who will say it was her fault for being pretty and wearing a short skirt.
Are we really sure he committed suicide?
Not to mention the feds, spooks, infiltrators etc...
Ok, you can’t answer so let’s go Ad Hominem.
I’ll conclude with you as supporting the bizarre notion that Trump is at fault for the injustices to the hundreds of J6 Political Prisoners.
That’s an excellent question.
I answered, alright. You just didn't like the tone of the answer.
I’ll conclude with you as supporting the bizarre notion that Trump is at fault for the injustices to the hundreds of J6 Political Prisoners.
I'll conclude with you clearly overusing your prescription pain medication to the point that you are hallucinating.
