Lane shouldn’t have even been charged.

> Lane testified that he asked Chauvin twice to reposition Floyd while restraining him but was denied both times. <

For the sake of argument, let’s assume that the senior officer, Chauvin, was wrong. The above statement should clear rookie officer Lane anyway. After all, what was Lane supposed to do, shoot Chauvin?

The “reasonable person” argument should apply here. Would a reasonable person in Lane’s shoes have behaved as Lane did? The answer is yes.

But I suppose the guillotine must be fed (so to speak).

“Lane, a rookie officer on his fourth day on the job”
I cannot fathom this.

It’s not about justice, or common sense. It’s about politics. In politics, you will always not be able to understand it because it isn’t about what is right. So, I agree. I can’t fathom it either.

When a democrat voter sees an old White man walking, and attacks him violently, it’s called a knockout “game.” No one raises the issue of violation of civil rights.

The “restraint” wasn’t fatal, but the overdose he was digesting was.

Another example of political pandering to mob rule in our “justice” system.

The only difference in protocol I would put in place over this is, step back and let him die from natural causes.

IMO, that is what happened, because naturally when you are heavily drugged up and have a heart problem, you are gonna die in a stress situation.

Floyd was the only righteous thing to happen that day and since. All the rioting, and racist prosecution of the police, is an obamanation.

Lane, a rookie officer on his fourth day on the job, held down Floyd’s legs during the arrest, while Kueng restrained his torso and Thao stood nearby and held back a crowd of upset bystanders. In federal court earlier this year, Lane testified that he asked Chauvin twice to reposition Floyd while restraining him but was denied both times.

2.5 years is 2.5 years too much for this guy.

They have always been, but in the 1860s, the Republicans were the "Democrats."

The Liberals who have been doing this since the 1860s, have always lived in the Hamptons and Martha's vineyard.

Minnesota plans to charge manslaughter as well, with 5-10 year sentences.

The Feds would go after anyone they want, so not working for blue city Police Departments is no sure-fire protection.
