No, the US has a one China policy that says Taiwan is not a country. It is part of China. The US does not have a diplomatic presence in Taiwan, i.e., no embassy or consulate.
There shouldn’t be two USG positions on the visit, one from DOD and one from Congress. We should have only one foreign policy.
