A large amount of money has been raised for a brave pizza delivery man who saved five children from a burning house.
Nicholas Bostic, 25, of Lafayette, Indiana, is being recognized for his heroic actions as donors have pitched in over $460,000 on GoFundMe to help him with medical bills as he recovers from his injuries in the hospital.
Bostic was driving in the early hours of the morning on July 11 in Lafayette when he noticed a house on fire.
Without hesitation, he turned his vehicle around, got out, and started yelling to alert anyone inside the house was burning. The 25-year-old entered through the back door, went upstairs and discovered four children, whose ages ranged from one to 18. He helped them escape, but realized a fifth child, a six-year-old, could still be trapped.
He rushed back into the building but could not see due to the smoke. By crawling on the ground he was finally able to locate the child, take her upstairs, and jump out the window.
With the house engulfed in flames behind him, Bostic brought the child to first responders outside. The 25-year-old can be heard in video footage asking if the “baby” was okay, as emergency personnel assured him that the child was alright.
While all of the children, including the six-year-old, were “miraculously” uninjured, Bostic suffered from severe smoke inhalation and lacerations to his arm and was airlifted to a hospital in Indianapolis.
As he was recovering from his injuries in the hospital, Bostic’s cousin organized a GoFundMe for him to help with the hospitalization bills.
Bostic is a Papa John’s pizza delivery driver. His cousin also noted that he was alert and speaking while recovering in the hospital.

I hope anyone who gives him a bill is outed and ruined.
If this is him....he’s not okay. On a vent with IV’s running.
God Bless you, Hero.
now THIS guy deserves a GoFund Me.
Most GFM’s are just digital cardboard signs.
ordinary people can always do extraordinary things
On another note - every article I’ve read makes no mention of the parents of the children, nor owners of the house. Sounds like they weren’t even there. Whats the deal with that part of the story??
Look for the Foxnews piece.
What a brave man! Papa John’s needs to recognize him too, as well as the fire department etc.
Even though GoFundMe, just donated.
I read that they were out playing darts and left the older girl to babysit.
thats a good idea. :)
Did Joe tell us that he had once rescued 1,000 children from a burning building and jumped out of a window or is he saving that for next time they let him speak ...
or maybe it was Beau who saved all the children ...
I hope he is okay.......
The pic say's he is not okay,,,I work sometimes in a Hosp.
It's either a poorly-written article, or there's a mistake in it. (One of those "children" is apparently an 18-year-old "adult".)
They’ll probably fire him for missing a delivery. Or “putting someone at risk”. Or missing diversity training while in the hospital.
Fired for missing a Pizza delivery.
I hope he is okay.......
There is a photo of him standing and shaking hands with “the mayor”. He’s in scrubs, and his arm is bandaged, but otherwise he looks fine.
I will be surprised if he doesn’t get a visit from Shaquille O’Neal
