He and others Dems just keep saying ‘let them eat cake’, or, in this case, buy a $60K electric car. How tone deaf are they?!

Buttigieg: 'The More Pain' You Feel

I'm not interested in hearing about his anal maladies.

If there were a benefit to an EV, it wouldn’t need to be subsidized.

He’s a moron among other less savory more repulsive things.

Suppose you have a vehicle that gets 20mpg and you drive it 10k miles per year. Assume you were paying $2.35/Gal and are now paying $5.00/gal. That’s $2.65/gal extra on 500 gallons or $1325.00 a year. Average cost of a battery piece of crap vehicle is $60,000 OR 45 years of driving with the extra cost for gas. EVs just don’t make sense economically.

Or look at it this way. Avg cost of petrol car =$40000 Avg cost of battery vehicle =$60000 Difference =$20000 or 4000 gallons of gas at $5.00/gal. That 100,000 miles at 25 mpg.

In other words, “Let them eat cake!”

The cost of an EV would pay for many years of gas even at current prices.

Is he also proposing thousands of additional power plants to cover the increased pressure on the grid?

This guy is truly clueless.

I only wish we could inflict an equal level pain on him that we are feeling because of him.

Methinks he'd probably enjoy it.

The Higher the gas price—the bigger the RED WAVE. Keep it up and Biden and Harris will be tossed out and Trump Appointed as President—then the real bloodbath will start with CIA, FBI, and DoD arrests and real show trials. In these they will have no need to lie.

Absolutely no one reports on the payments, tax, title and insurance. Why is that? I don’t know about anyone else, but we sure can’t afford high car payments and installing a charging station. What if you live out in the country along dirt roads. How about the cost of replacing the batteries? Are the batteries even safe? How about the environment? A lot of questions that the Buttlicker can’t answer.

Even his BS is a lie.

If these rats wanted people to *drive* electric vehicles they’d have first ensured plentiful and affordable electricity, say by nuclear. THEN they’d make a case for EVs and encourage makers to develop cars that are fun, practical, or both.

Instead they’re choking the grid with fake eco demands for highly variable solar and wind and crippling dependable electricity of any sort. EVs meanwhile are purposely dull, ugly, and impractical all at once.

From this anyone can see their goals are to take away personal mobility via gas vehicles and replace it with nothing, so that people can move only when and where their feudal overlords permit.
