Around the world, one would be amazed how much of this came through the bureaucrats and the courts, not the will of the people. The same is true of the current transgender idiocy.
The reason I point this out is that many on the right have given up hope for the West. They see what is going on in the West and are rooting for Russia against Ukraine. They have falsely interpreted that war as a contest between Globohomo (global homogenization/global homosexuality) and a traditional Christian nation, which is Russia.
Wrong!
For such a Christian nation, Russia still has the highest abortion rates in the world and remains a tyranny.
But doesn't Putin claim to be a Christian?! Doesn't the Orthodox Church in Russia support him? Yes. But so did Hitler, and Hitler found a pliant Protestant bishop, Ludwig Muller, to run the Reichschurch.
Hitler, like Putin, promised to restore traditional German values, even as he erased them. Yet German propaganda during the times emphasized how degenerate the United States was.
In America, at that time, the extremist right produced Elizabeth Dilling. She hated the leftist policies of FDR, but then she became an apologist for Germans.
[SNIP]
Dilling praised Germany for the opposition it posed to communism in the 1930s. She even seemed to absolve Hitler, later declaring in The Red Network that the "problem of the large number of revolutionary Russian Jews in Germany doubtless contributed toward making Fascist Germany anti-semitic [sic]." Be careful about painting the West as the bad guy in the Ukrainian struggle. We have horrible problems, but we are not as demented as Russia. Our problems are fixable.

I’ll leave you with the following again as a reply. It’s a zombie test.
Isaiah 43:11
Zechariah 14:9
Malachi 3:6
Ezekiel 36:19,24,35
Ezekiel 37:21-22
Ezekiel 44:5,9
Ezekiel 45 (all)
Ezekiel 47:21
Zechariah 12:3,9
Zechariah 14:12-16
Malachi 3:6,17-18
Isaias 43:11 - “I am, I am the Lord: and there is no saviour besides me.” Not sure how this is relevant to the current nation of Israel.
Zechariah 14:9 - “And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day there shall be one Lord, and his name shall be one.” A prophecy of the propagation of Christ’s Church, as the living waters in the prior verse refer to His Gospel.
Malachi 3:6 - “For I am the Lord, and I change not: and you the sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Immediately following this verse are calls for those who departed Him to return. “Return to me, and I will return to you, saith the Lord of hosts.” Can this be said of the modern nation of Israel, whose state religion entails a rejection of Christ as the Messiah?
Ezekiel 36:19 - “And I scattered them among the nations, and they are dispersed through the countries: I have judged them according to their ways, and their devices.” A prophecy of the Jewish diaspora.
Ezekiel 36:24 - “For I will take you from among the Gentiles, and will gather you together out of all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.” Key word being that “I”, as in God, will take the Jews out from among the Gentiles and gather them; is the modern nation of Israel the action of God, or the action of man?
Ezekiel 36:35 - “They shall say: This land that was untilled is become as a garden of pleasure: and the cities that were abandoned, and desolate, and destroyed, are peopled and fenced.” Two verses prior, it is written: “Thus saith the Lord God: In the day that I shall cleanse you from all your iniquities...” after which is described the scene of temporal bounty. Has the modern nation of Israel been cleansed of all its iniquities?
Ezekiel 37:21-22: “And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I will take the children of Israel from the midst of the nations whither they are gone: and I will gather them on every side, and will bring them to their own land. And I will make them one nation in the land on the mountains of Israel, and one king shall be king over them all: and they shall no more be two nations, neither shall they be divided any more into two kingdoms.” Again, the modern nation of Israel was not formed by the action of God...and furthermore, they are not ruled over by one king (namely, the servant of the House of David, i.e. Christ). The modern nation of Israel is not subservient with the sweet yoke that is the social Kingship of Christ; these verses cannot be applied to modern Israel.
Ezekiel 44:5 - “And the Lord said to me: Son of man, attend with thy heart, and behold with thy eyes, and hear with thy ears, all that I say to thee concerning all the ceremonies of the house of the Lord, and concerning all the laws thereof: and mark well the ways of the temple, with all the goings out of the sanctuary.” Is modern Israel in its constitution perfectly obedient to even the Mosaic law, much less the law of Christ?
Ezekiel 44:9 - “Thus saith the Lord God: No stranger uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, no stranger that is in the midst of the children of Israel.” Yet modern Israel is full of such strangers.
Ezekiel 45: Given the numerous references in this chapter to animal sacrifice being provided as a sin offering (rendered null and void by the one Sacrifice of Christ), I don’t believe you can attribute this chapter to modern Israel either.
Ezekiel 47:21 - “And you shall divide this land unto you by the tribes of Israel:” The modern nation of Israel was not constituted or formed in such a way (nor was it divided by lot for an inheritance, as the following verse indicated). It is not divided among the tribes of the sons of Jacob.
Ezekiel 12:3 - “And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone to all people: all that shall lift it up shall be rent and torn, and all the kingdoms of the earth shall be gathered together against her.” A reference to a future time, where God shall protect His Church against her persecutors. It cannot be used to describe a nation (as modern Israel is) which is not obedient or loyal to Christ.
Ezekiel 12:9 - “And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.” Are we referring to the literal city of Jerusalem which is now host to infidels and pagans, or the spiritual Jerusalem represented by those who are obedient to Christ, the Son of David?
Ezekiel 12:12-16 - “And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord shall strike all nations that have fought against Jerusalem: the flesh of every one shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. In that day there shall be a great tumult from the Lord among them: and a man shall take the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall be clasped upon his neighbour’s hand. And even Juda shall fight against Jerusalem: and the riches of all nations round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and garments in great abundance. And the destruction of the horse, and of the mule, and of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts, that shall be in those tents, shall be like this destruction. And all they that shall be left of all nations that came against Jerusalem, shall go up from year to year, to adore the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.” A prophecy of how those who persecute the Church will be torn asunder, and that those left shall be converted to faith in Christ and communion with His Mystical Body.
Malachi 3:17-18 - “And they shall be my special possession, saith the Lord of hosts, in the day that I do judgment: and I will spare them, as a man spareth his son that serveth him. And you shall return, and shall see the difference between the just and the wicked: and between him that serveth God, and him that serveth him not.” Does the modern nation of Israel fear the Lord, and serve God?
The nation of Israel has Judaism as its official state religion, which in and of itself is divided between Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Secular, and so forth; all of which, save for the Messianic Jews (which are an utterly miniscule minority that do not qualify for the Right of Return, being seen as either a Christian sect or a cult), reject that Christ was the Messiah.
I would be very wary in ascribing Biblical prophecy to a manmade nation-state that bears little in common with the Chosen People (both the Jews who followed the fulfillment of the Old Covenant in Christ, and the Gentiles who were converted by the Apostles and their successors) beyond the name and location.
I see two sides in the last war. There will be those on the side of the nations that invade and try to occupy Israel and those against. Those in favor of the invasion will be the rebels.
"Based on the compelling evidence that prenatal testosterone exposure influences children’s sex-typical play behavior, on the well-established links between childhood play interests and adult sexual orientation, and on the evidence showing altered sexual orientation in women exposed to high levels of androgens prenatally, because of CAH, the answer appears to be “yes.”National Institutes of Health"
you sound like a religious nutball.
Tragically true, yet less than America, thus if that is your basis for not supporting Israel as a nation then neither should you support the US as one. If you do, meaning opposing the liberal enemy within, then you should recognizes that Israel also America's only real ally in an area in which it is surrrouned by anti-American and antisemitic Muslims. Consider,
Israel comprises just 0.2 percent of the Middle East’s land mass while Arabs of today controls 24 nations... 99½ percent of the ENTIRE Middle East land mass, and Muslims of most surrounding nations have sought to kill or expel push the Jews from their ancient national homeland even before as well as after 1947, when Muslims, which came to be called Palestinians - a name cognate with the Biblical Hebrew Pəlīštīm and used for the land of the Hebrews from at least 450 BC (Herodotus) while the residents of Judea and Samaria were considered Jordanians before 1948, including by themselves - rejected the UN Partition Plan which would have established independent Jewish and Arab states and an international control of Jerusalem. Before that, under the 1922 international mandate the British were to help the Jews reestablish their homeland in the territory.
The Muslims would not tolerated the existence of the State of Israel in 1948 since the Arab community was still seeking to control the entirety of the Palestine Mandate itself, thus five Arab armies attacked Israel when it declared independence. Only to henceforth cry victim when they lost this war and subsequent attempts to drive Israel into the sea as it were.
Palestinians are essentially squatters which never were a nation before 1948, while about 20% of Israeli citizens are Arabs, mostly Muslims, with only 14% identifying as Palestinians, and live in homes they either own or rent, and are not required to perform mandatory military service. They have equal voting rights and Arabs currently hold 9 seats in the 120-seat Knesset and have also held various government posts, including one who served as Israel’s ambassador to Finland and the current deputy mayor of Tel Aviv. ( Myths & Facts Online - Human Rights in Israel and the Territories) And see The Real Reason Arabs in Israel Do Not Want to Live in 'Palestine'
However, despite tiny Israel attempting to live in peaceful co-existence with its surrounding Muslim neighbors, even giving up almost all the land is conquered in victory over Muslim attempts to exterminate them, it is threatened and attacked by such, thus resulting in defensive actions which are invoked by liberals as unwarranted aggression, but which are warranted.
And while I am sure Israel has engaged in some wrong actions, and some discrimination exists, and is far from perfect tenants - including allowing “gay” parades,” they are the victims of unjust aggression by other nations.
Really? By opposing birth control and homosexuality, or just by allowing that there there may be a connection btwn the two, versus throwing such that do under the bus?
Just what is your criteria for deeming one to be a religious nutball on this pro-God (of the Bible) forum???
I certainly don’t deny that Israel has been the victim of unjust aggression from its neighbors (and from certain Arabs that reside within its current de facto borders).
What I do deny, and have denied, is that the current nation-state of Israel is somehow a continuation or legitimate successor of the ancient Kingdom of Israel merely because it shares the same name and location: nothing more and nothing less.
Thanks, daniel1212. When I wrote the following in a previous comment,...
“Watch for them to move more against Israel to try to steal the credibility that they never had in hopes of controlling the world with it. Russians have already discussed further establishing their religion in Jerusalem, and many others of like mind are beginning to agree with their direction.”
...the word, credibility, was an error on my part. Substitute the word, legitimacy, for credibility. I’m personally dealing with a health condition here.
I just found this link about the Ukraine First Lady’s address to our Congress during her visit this week. Perhaps one of you would like to post this as a seperate thread.

I would do it myself, but at 84 in this heat wave it is more than I can handle.
Done. :)
