The movement of Vladimir Putin's vessels to the port city of Novorossiysk in southern Russia comes after Ukrainian stocks of longer-range missile systems were boosted by Western allies. Ukrainian media reports Serhiy Bratchuk, adviser to the head of Odesa's Regional Military Administration, reporting news of the ships' eastward movement via Telegram.
Media outlet Ukrinform reports the official as saying: "According to the information of our Navy, the enemy has redeployed a significant number of warships from Sevastopol to Novorossiysk.
"Russian ships were earlier deployed in missile-proof areas in the zone covered by coastal air defence systems, as close as possible to the coast."
He claimed Russia still has control of navigation in the Sea of Azov in order to illegally export goods seized in the Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions.
Kyiv recently received supplies of long-range High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) which it hopes will help turn the tide on Russia's invasion.

The Mongols used to “run away” too.
The Mongols used to “run away” too.
This means Russia must take the entire Black Sea coast to protect their historical home port of Sevastopol.
They will never cede that port as long as a single Russia soldier breathes. And they will most certainly use nukes, if necessary, to secure it.
They have fought at least 4 major wars to preserve it. 100’s of thousands dead.
Run mofo’s, run.
I can see Ukraine wanting to take back the eastern part of their country that is now occupied by Russia. They could try, but they probably will not be successful.
But Ukraine would have to be absolutely crazy to try to take back Sevastopol. And I don’t think they’re near that crazy. Shell the port during this war, yes. Try to occupy it, no way.
They don’t have to take it back...they can do damage to the Russian Navy and their base. Strategically and morally that is a battle victory.
Once Russia takes out those systems (or Ukraine sells them off), things will return back to normal.
Retreating is a good tactic.
It’s whether you attack again is the question
So, Ukraine is winning the war again. /s
“they can do damage to the Russian Navy and their base”
Russia would react the same as they would if missiles were fired into Moscow.
They would use whatever means necessary and at their disposal to make the threat go away.
You can take that to the bank.
“But Ukraine would have to be absolutely crazy to try to take back Sevastopol.”
Ukraine will be liquidated if they make a serious effort to take Sevastopol.
As it is, they’re look at liquidation anyway. Soon, once Donbass is fully liberated, Russia will give Ukraine an offer they can’t refuse, but the Neocons will tell them to refuse it anyway. At that point, Russia will call a general mobilization and that will be the end of Ukraine as a country - at least as I see things progressing, based on what Russia is saying.
I've heard that one of those packages is on its way to the replica factory in Russia.
Thanks, Pedo Pete and High Heels!
Lol not exactly what happened. Russia pulled back it’s ships and sending submarines instead in the submarines have been involved in a missile attacks
That history dates back just to 1783. Not downplaying its importance in Russian minds, nor their vigorous defense of it in WWII not to mention the Crimean War. But although landlocked and ice locked Russia had long wanted a good warm water port they didn't have one until they took over Crimea and actually founded Sevastopol as a new city that year. Per the orders of Catherine the Great.
I just love adding to my putard prediction collection...
