'Famed economist Milton Keynes': Economics graduate AOC confuses John Maynard Keynes with Milton Friedman during Instagram video pushing for a four-day work week - and claims it was a 'typo'

$29,000,000 and counting. That is how tough her life is.
Cry me an ocean.
I have a solution. Build dormitory style housing for use by members of the House and Senate while in DC when Congress is in session.
The Bell-Curve hangs left and low over her constituents.
It’s so unfortunate :-/
It’s a wonder they haven’t done that in 240+ years................
If she doesn’t like the job, can’t she just quit?
And miss out on all that loot?........................
I think I read that Trey Gowdy slept in his office. Gowdy’s gone though. I think there’s a few others. Less then 10.
Members of the House receive a $900,000 annual allowance for a staff as well as a $250,000 budget for travel and office expenses, paid for entirely by taxpayers.
They fly for free, get a primo pension Primo health care, free airport parking, free on-site gym, inside info on stock market, up to 239 days off a year.
Wow sucks to be a US Congressman.
I agree. Engineers, Doctors, Lawyers, Executives, Judges, football and basketball coaches, football and basket players, Presidents of Colleges, Universities, Tenured Professors in US make over 150k
Idiotic as she is, I think she has a point.
I’ve never rented an apartment in NYC or Washington, but I’ve heard about it, and it would probably chew well into $174,000 per year, which is $14,500 per month. If rent in each city for a fairly nice place is $5,000 per month, then she’s at $4,500 per month, about the same as a 1st Lieutenant with 2 years of service. And a lieutenant would get a housing allowance ($2,379 per month for Washington) and a food allowance (280.29 per month).
Possibly she gets a tax write-off for her Washington residence.
Is $5,000/month too high for rent in those cities for a fairly nice apartment?
Maybe she should get married and split the costs? I hear she's engaged.
Their taxes on the combined income with no kids will be astronomical would LOVE to see her face on that one!!
I've often thought that. There is space at the Joint Base Andrews, at the Navy Yard, at Walter Reed, as well as the former campus of Walter Reed, and many other areas for such accommodations, which could be secured.
What bar tending?
You didn’t say 1% of her pay. You just said 1%. I was wondering too, reread your post and chill man.
Cops, City administrators, Firefighters, longshoremen, even janitors in some jurisdictions.
Uh, worse than the bar scene in Star Wars I’d say. 😵😲
Not to mention her net worth of 29 million $$$ which she has mostly acquired since her becoming a Servant of the people..
Then he too choosy about his living conditions.
