A date emerges as speculation for Trump 2024 announcement heats up
Washington Examiner ^ | July 17, 2022 12:32 PM | Daniel Chaitin, Deputy News Editor

Two Trump advisers told the Washington Post that Trump was eyeing a September announcement, though one confidant said the odds were at “70-30 he announces before the midterms,” and others said Trump may do it sooner than September.

CNN's Gabby Orr (formerly of the Washington Examiner) got even more specific. "It's actually him pushing his advisers to get him ready to announce before or shortly after Labor Day, is the latest timing I've been told," she said to a CNN panel. Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 5.

It would make sense to wait till after the mid-Terms.

i agree. If he announces before midterms, he becomes THE issue for all RATs running for office.

Absolutely. Trump is a fantastic business man but lacks in political savvy.

The later in the year, the better for the party.
The nanosecond that Trump announces he IS running, the Anti-Trump Warlords will use that TDS factor as a rallying point for their voters prior to Mid Term elections.
They will stop worrying about acting more moderate and less radical.

He should announce before midterms that he’s NOT running, then “change his mind” after the midterms. Then watch the lefties scream at the sky.

Either way could make sense. I would say he should take the chance and announce before the midterms. He should announce in September and use the ‘See I told you so’ and ‘You have seen what I said’ so it’s as if he is on the ticket and winning down ballot.

If the Mid-Terms don't oust the RINO traitors in the state legislatures who handed the Steal to Joke Biden on a platter by turning a blind eye to Dem cheating, then it is pointless for Trump to run.

They will just let the Dems steal it again. They would rather a Dem win than have 'their' party taken over by MAGA.

As soon as PDJT announces he’s running in 2024, all of his rallies and other activities are subject to FEC spending limits.

That’s the key drawback to making it official as it starts the clock ticking which inevitably would put him at a distinct disadvantage against any potential GOP primary challenger.

Not sure about if separate additional funds are allocated toward the general election.
