I know many dedicated foster parents. I've known biological parents who I wouldn't trust with my cat much less a child.

We all know that what she was talking about is same sex foster parents and we all know she's against it. But the way it came out lumps all adoptive parents together and that is just flat out stupid.

The whole lame “foster” system is ridiculous. Even with good fosters. Shipping kids around to different places can’t be good - just like split-up parents.

Orphanages should exist. Another institution that liberals destroyed because it’s “too mean” and “stigmatizing”.

Perhaps she is referring to the AngelenaJolie types. The ones who buy one on the foreign market to parade around like some prize poodle.

We also need to consider the wisdom (or lack) of allowing a single mother to raise a kid — regardless of source. Regardless of how hard they work at it, without a Dad any boy is gonna come out crippled. All need a man’s influence, not sperm donor, a MAN. And, if the prospective, reluctant Mom is facing an abortion alone, she never met a MAN.

I had two friends who parents were foster parents. One of them had the foster kids live in the basement, except when the social worker came by, then he 'moved' into a room that was off limits to him mostly. My second friend, his parents treated them just like they did their own kids. Nice bedrooms, nice clothes, tv and stereo.. They made the foster kids part of the family.

We do the same treat our foster kids like they are family, because they are.
