Greene Calls Non-Biological Parents 'Fake' Amid Post-Roe Adoption Push
Newsweek via MSN ^ | 7/16/22 | Andrew Stanton

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene faced criticism on social media on Saturday for calling non-biological parents "fake mom and fake dad" as Republicans push adoption as an abortion alternative in the wake of the Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Greene, a Georgia Republican, warned about what she views as threats to children and conservative values during a discussion on her show MTG Live, which was posted to Rumble on Thursday. During the discussion, the congresswoman explained one reason she worries for children is because some are raised by "fake" parents.

"Children are in the greatest danger in America today because traditional family values are being destroyed—the idea that mom and dad together, not fake mom and fake dad, but the biological mom and biological dad, can raise their children together and do what's right for their children," she said.

“Then go to her podcast on Rumble and check it out.”

I can’t find it - when I search I get random podcasts but not the one from yesterday. Do you have a link or know how to find it?

I’d like to see the video of what she actually said.

Do some of you people on this thread seriously believe that the left wing rag, Newsweek, will accurately quote Margerie Taylor Greene? After all the slander and lies we saw aimed at President Trump for four years in this very same manner?
Why else do you think they go there to get their (almost breathless) posting info?

You can call it whatever you like

What I wrote is the truth

You can google it yourself

Personally attacking me for stating a truth I can back up indicates more about you than the truth you wish dared not be uttered

We as a culture make this mistake completely now

We actually base policy on exceptions

Rather than inconvenient truth

Adoption however preferred to abortion or foster homes or infertility

Is not an equal replacement for blood two parent families

The issues with adoption has unfortunately now been infested with queerness which is a whole other topic

There are 100s of articles about these issues

https://www.claudiablackcenter.com/adopted-children-often-face-mental-health-struggles-as-young-adults/

My own experience with adoption in my own family

Adopted kids are in my opinion my nature than nurture

I’ve seen this in my own children as well

Adoptive parents if faced with children with inherited personality disorder etc can face odds that are difficult

And yes I believe given circumstances it’s at a higher rate

It’s a noble cause no question but it’s hardly an equal replacement

Sorry

MTG is correct

Not the same.

Reagan was “caught” making that joking quip. It wasn’t meant to be public.

The others we speak of, are very public comments.

That’s the other hypocrisy I don’t like.

Age.

Trump will be just as old as Biden was this time. Everyone complained about Biden’s age. Yet turn around and say Trump will be just fine.

Anything can happen, very suddenly, when one is that age.

He needs to choose his own VP and one that isn’t a vp that isn’t a RINO.
Problem solved.

Could still cause too much disruption.

If that is the choice, I’ll do it. I’m just sayin’….

Pence was a good choice for one term. Same as the 1st Bush. Perhaps they should eliminate the job altogether or select an older, experienced, caretaker type with no ambitions. Then there’s Dick Cheney. I could see Jon Kennedy there. He’d be great. Even a Ben Carson. Perhaps the senate majority leader should be next in line-minority leader if in the same party. Gerald Ford was the only one available in ‘74. Slim pickins.

I want to see a televised debate between AOC and MTG. It would be spell bounding.

I am also keeping in mind where this report is coming from. It’s not as though those people would never think of editing, twisting or massaging a statement to suit their agenda. And, I do believe that MGT is a very nice target for those people.

I had two friends who parents were foster parents. One of them had the foster kids live in the basement, except when the social worker came by, then he 'moved' into a room that was off limits to him mostly. My second friend, his parents treated them just like they did their own kids. Nice bedrooms, nice clothes, tv and stereo.. They made the foster kids part of the family.

We do the same treat our foster kids like they are family, because they are.

Apologies are due to those who feel insulted by lowering the opinion of foster parents. Of course, one expects there are foster parents who do right by kids without biological parents.

Looking at it statistically, in terms of segments or proportions of the whole, the motives of foster versus adoptive parents produce different experiences.

Foster parents are paid by the state whereas adoptive parents are not.

This difference in motives does not mean foster parents are less capable parents, it means the experiences can be statistically different.

We should expect to find some foster parents who are rated very high. But looking at the two groups foster and adoptive, we expect the different motives to produce differences on average in ratings when evaluating the groups.

Yes she does
Greene, a Georgia Republican,*** warned about what she views as threats to children and conservative values*** during a discussion.

If she cared so much about babies but not about people who can’t have children so abortion is a better answer.
