LaTanya Gordon thinks she knows who killed her sons. Her eldest, 20-year-old Tyler “Ty Ty” Malden, was shot in the head and an arm on April 6, 2020, targeted in a drive-by attack in an alley in the 10000 block of South Torrence Avenue.
As rumors drifted through the neighborhood, Gordon says a young man began “bragging on Facebook that he did the murder.”
Her other son, 15-year-old Terrance “Munchie” Malden, joined a chorus of neighbors who spoke out about the man’s claims.
Months later, that July 10, Terrance was killed, struck in the back in a drive-by shooting in an alley in the 9800 block of South Hoxie Avenue, blocks from where his brother was slain.

Opposite version of “Crime down in spite of more people in prison” headline from many years ago.
All of the defunding and miniaturizing of police departments by the RATs was a put up job created to attack our Bill of Rights. Less cops, more crime and then blame the crime on the NRA. Ignorant “americans” fell for it faster than they fell for an Ethiopian “prince” asking for their bank account information.
Sometimes a city (or nation) goes past the tipping point. Then nothing can save it. Chicago needs a tough law-and-order mayor like Daley or Giuliani. The next Chicago mayor might be a bit tougher than Lightfoot. But he/she will be no Daley or Giuliani.

Not only have murders and general crime increased dramatically in cities like Chicago since the Feast Day of St. George Floyd, black traffic fatalities have risen dramatically as well.
Blacks need more police, not fewer.

“Violent crime in Chicago soars, despite arrests being at historic lows”
Why would the police do the thorough investigations and community policing necessary to identify and arrest these murderers? The cops know that it is much more likely that they will come to grief and even if they made arrests the criminals will not be prosecuted or imprisoned. They simply do not trust the politicians who control them. Almost no arrests are made for the murders of mostly minority young people in Chicago and most Democrat run urban areas. The cops are not fools or masochists. Those that must work to support themselves, a family or protect a pension do cursory work and have the main goal of going home safely at the end of their shifts. Can’t blame them.
I bet Oprah is glad she moved to Calif.
The families of the victims can rightfully lay blame at the hands of the Democrats who used deaths such as those of Michael Brown, Eric Garner, and George Floyd as a means to attack law and order.

Just last night a crowd of several hundred shut down an intersection right downtown, in the Loop, to pop wheelies and peel donuts. It was 30 minutes or more before CPD could summon the manpower to break it up. One person was arrested for throwing a firecracker at police. He (or she) is probably out and about today, boasting and looking for trouble.
