If you skim the front pages of major corporate news outlets, you’ll find no mention of the economic protests raging in Spain, Morocco, Greece, and the United Kingdom.
On The Washington Post homepage these days, you’ll find headlines such as, “How To Deal With A Chatty Coworker Who Won’t Get Out Of Your Office,” but you won’t find mention of the more than 100,000 people protesting in Madrid. You’ll find the story of a gay union entitled, “What’s Two ‘Yentas’ Plus One Senator? A Lifetime Together” at The New York Times, but you won’t see a single heading on the more than 10,000 protesters in Athens. Corporate media has largely glossed over the tens of thousands of farmers in the Netherlands who clogged up roadways and distributions centers by holding Canadian-trucker-convoy-style demonstrations to protest radical climate policies.
According to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, which records protests worldwide, 11 countries are currently seeing protests of more than 1,000 people in response to the rising cost of living and other economic woes in 2022. As of July 5, Carnegie had recorded protests of more than 120,000 people in France, 100,000 in Spain, 10,000 in Greece, 10,000 in Kazakhstan, 10,000 in Sri Lanka, 10,000 in India, 5,000 in Iran, 5,000 in Peru, 1,000 people in Argentina, 1,000 in Morocco, and 1,000 in the U.K.
Yes. News is not news. It’s propaganda and control.
Keep the sheep 🐑🐑🐑 stupid and distracted
It’s all “the news” does anymore.
The oligarchy instituting the destruction of nations and peoples owns the whoredom media. We would hardly expect such a whoredom to report negative vibes caused by the treacherous oligarchy, eh?
Well, that’s part of it.
Another part of it is that the ‘news’ people think that they are of the Elite, and will continue to be coddled by the ruling oligarchy (if not part of it) when the WEF / Davos / ‘Liberal World Order” crushes us dirty peasants into dust, and the few survivors into slavery.
So I guess a rule of thumb would be that the more trite the news stories become, the more serious the stuff going on that is unreported.
The biggest power of the media is the power to ignore.
There are several protests here in the US too. They haven’t gained any traction but the feds are scared silly about them.
Two leaders of the 1776 Restoration Movement (see tagline) were arrested for very minor traffic violations. A $60 ticket in one case. He was jailed for a week.
A third had his truck impounded and has gone off the grid while working with an attorney.
All this for a small rag-tag group of patriots.
Baa, baa, baa...means stop.
From Oct. ‘20 until about nov. ‘21 I cut myself off from all news. I knew who was inaugurated. I overheard Rush and Alex Trebek died. I kept up on the most basic virus stats. Zero else.
The fabled rejuvenation did not happen. Evil permeates the air.
One thing I came to see is every new bit of passionate debate is a distraction. Everything is the same now as it was then. Just different nouns and verbs. As long as this bizarro world is offering up new atrocities, imo, everyone is distracted, sheep.
My level of stupidity remained unchanged.
I’m guessing it’s because they don’t want us to get any ideas.
PING!
What passes for news these days is ridiculous
(this bizarro world)
And that’s where we are these days
Watching the Snewz puts a person quite comfortably to sleep…
All is well in the world. Nothing to see here. Move along.

The Babylon Bee describes what is happening in Sri Lanka. It's not funny:

the scumedia is our enemy
The federal government’s only reason for existence is to control the populace for the Elites and the WEF! It has no democratic purpose but centralized control, the very thing the Confederacy feared, they were just 150 years ahead of their time.
It’s time to reduce and restraint the federal government or put an end to the experiment!
