Summary/Overview
After the UK’s Boris Johnson and France’s Emmanuel Macron, who lost parliamentary elections, Italy’s Mario Draghi appears to be the third victim of unintended consequences of the Ukraine war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is fast losing allies – to the obvious delight of Russia’s Vladimir Putin. In Germany, Olaf Scholz’s government is teetering as his center-left coalition has lost its 50%-plus majority in recent polls.
Gazprom says the Nordstream 1 pipeline is being repaired but it is unable to forecast when it will resume operations. July 22 is the key date. If it’s missed, Germany must draw down on gas reserves at a time they are supposed to be replenished for the winter. According to an authoritative Forsa poll published on July 14, a majority of Germans now see sanctions causing more harm to Germany than to Russia.
On the ground in Ukraine, the week-long operational pause declared by the Russian Ministry of Defense appears to be ending. Russian forces have surrounded and entered the town of Siversk (Donetsk oblast), the northern anchor of the first Ukrainian line of defense extending down to Fedorivka and Soledar to Bakhmut (see map).
The northern end of the second line of defense from Sloviansk down to Kramatorsk, which is the last line before the Dnepr River strategic defense line, continues to be challenged by Russian artillery.
The Ukrainian ministry of defense says that it has been ordered by President Zelensky to immediately mobilize a force of one million to liberate the south of Ukraine in a concerted counter-attack.
A week ago, Russian President Putin told parliament that Russian troops in Ukraine “haven’t even really started anything yet” and declared that Western expectations that Ukraine can defeat Russia militarily are “absurd and only add to the suffering of the Ukrainian people.”

Mobilize a 1 million man force? How much money will that cost us?
Good overview that is lacking in piecemeal reports on Twitter. Although some very interesting first hand videos can be seen there.
“The Ukrainian ministry of defense says that it has been ordered by President Zelensky to immediately mobilize a force of one million to liberate the south of Ukraine in a concerted counter-attack.”
Quite a novel “recruitment effort” during this 7th mobilization campaign in Ukraine. For the last couple months the internet has been full of Ukrainian posts of all the varying tactics people are using to avoid being forced into combat. There are 250,000 “eligible” men from other countries (Romania, Poland, etc.) who live in Ukraine frantically getting new passports, etc. resulting in only 300 in service.
The following two posts are first of a HUGE highway backup where the “recruiters” have stopped everyone and are issuing conscription “vouchers.” The video is on the site.
The second one is Ukrainians warning each other where to avoid like Americans would warn about traffic cops...:-)

In Biden’s view “whatever it takes”.
Yes, let’s send a million Ukrainians to their slaughter, or are you talking about a million man army made up of men from what were nations who embraced western values?
Lot of pressure on Ukraine right now.

Our source in the OP said that the administration of the US President made it clear to the Office of the President that Ukraine cannot lose control over Sloviansk/Kramatorsk/Bakhmut. In the West, this will be perceived as the defeat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will provoke the curtailment of military / financial assistance to Ukraine.

#political season
“Western partners” began to slow down not only military, but also financial assistance to Ukraine. On the one hand, they are afraid of crisis situations in their countries (for the same EU, the “gas issue” is very painful), and on the other, they are afraid of embezzlement of the money provided.
So, almost two months ago, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen proposed sending €9 billion to Ukraine, but so far only 1/9 of the amount has been sent. And this is not surprising - the EU is afraid of the large-scale efforts that will be required to restore and problems with corruption in Ukraine. The information was picked up by Bloomberg, reporting that the EU is “falling behind its high-profile promises to provide a significant aid package to Ukraine” as it faces the prospect of its own serious economic problems. Against this background, another unpleasant topic for Ukraine is developing - the IMF is in no hurry to “freeze” its debts, expecting that in wartime the country will service its debt in an orderly manner.
Whether Ukraine is ready for such a turn of affairs can be judged by the words of Zelensky’s economic adviser Oleg Ustenko, who said that Ukraine needs not $5 billion, but $9 billion a month to cover the budget deficit.
“We will try to survive in any case, but without the financial support of our allies, this will not only be difficult, but almost impossible,” the official said in a conversation with The Financial Times.

In these types of situations, we seem to quickly pick one side to support and one to oppose. It’s obvious why Putin is opposed, as this aggression seems unnecessary, even if provoked by the meddlers at NATO. Yey, I think it’s reasonable to support the people of Ukraine while objecting to the Ukraine leadership.
Not really sure I understand your point. 🙂
And that is why the game continues... pocket lining on a massive almost unimaginable level. The poor souls who have got caught up in the actual fighting on both sides are just a means to an end.
Because of price increases largely from the “sanctions”, the Russians made an additional $100 billion from their exports of energy, fertilizer, and food in just the first 90 days of this adventure. Ukrainians leadership has received countless unaccountable billions from their Western sponsors. Where is all the money going? Answer that and you will find the reason that no end is near until the money flow is stopped.
This is the type of human wave tactic envisioned for the new million-man conscript army by the Ukrainian authorities. “One out of two get a rifle. When the one with the rifle gets killed, the one who is following picks up the rifle and shoots.” Many people here are cheerleading for this senseless human slaughter. These are the policies of the Biden administration in action.
“According to an authoritative Forsa poll published on July 14, a majority of Germans now see sanctions causing more harm to Germany than to Russia. “
Germans are many things. But stupid is not one of them.

Our source in the OP said that Western aid is curtailed due to corruption schemes in the Office of the President, for which Kyrylo Timoshenko is responsible. German intelligence BND received information that the Minister of Digital Transformation Fedorov is responsible at Bankova for withdrawing funds to Arab countries through cryptocurrencies that are transferred to cold wallets.

Our source in the OP said that Germany is slowing down the allocation of 9 billion euros to Ukraine, due to information from German intelligence agencies about corruption schemes at Bankova. The West requires the Office of the President to appoint the heads of the SAPO and NABU, and then discuss the mechanisms for financing Ukraine. Support from the EU is dwindling despite the efforts of the Office of the President to please the leaders of the West.

In Ukraine, schemes for the sale of military weapons from the front, as well as the “cutting” of humanitarian aid, are increasingly being revealed. Moreover, business in war is developing:
▪️they are already renting warehouses for humanitarian aid and equipping them as workshops for the production of goods - foreign food products are unpacked and packaged in packages of Ukrainian manufacturers (recently such a warehouse was discovered in the Obolonsky district of Kyiv);
▪️with weapons, everything is also “bad” - while some dealers sell shipments to Arab countries, while others sell them on the darknet, others simply sell weapons inside Ukraine. There are so many weapons that many schemes for their implementation are completely undisguised: for example, a 47-year-old resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region set up an arms trade through the post office and “burned” on another parcel, sending 7 AK assault rifles, 10 grenades, magazines and about 500 rounds of ammunition to the Cherkasy region.
As a result, the West, analyzing the situation in Ukraine, is expected to systematically reduce assistance to Ukraine. By the way, The Washington Times recently focused on this when discussing Ukrainian realities and noting that the reason for American concern was the likelihood that a significant part of military aid would simply be stolen. “Ukraine is still a very inefficient, corrupt country. If people start seeing evidence of corruption — oligarchs are buying yachts with American money — this will undermine their support,” expert Mark Kansian cites the publication.

Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, in an interview with the British newspaper Financial Times, confirmed our #insacd from the Office of the President that some of Ukraine’s allies have already sent military representatives to the country to monitor the weapons provided to Kiev. The arms smuggling scandal from Ukraine arose in the West and forced the Office of the President to react.
https://t.me/rezident_ua/13212
At the same time, according to Reznikov, the Ukrainian government does not support Western concerns about the risks of arms smuggling, but recognizes the need to expand its weapons tracking systems.
“We need to survive. We have no reason to smuggle weapons out of Ukraine,” he said.
Since 2019, Ukraine has been using NATO software to track weapons that can be accessed by NATO allies, Reznikov said.
The system, currently only managed centrally, will be extended to the level of brigades and possibly battalions. Kyiv will consult with its partners on how far to deploy it, he said.
According to him, there is no chance that the systems would have been stolen. They are equipped with GPS trackers, and the United States can monitor the movement of equipment using satellites.

Our source in the OP said that the arms smuggling scandal from Ukraine forced the Office of the President to look for control mechanisms that would suit the West. Now the Pentagon, together with the General Staff, are developing draft permits for instructors / observers ...
Germany has done some things that are backfiring. The worst mistake is shared by all of Europe, expecting the USA to defeat Russia for them. Biden will do just enough to get more people killed without doing nearly enough to defeat Russia.
The USA has become an expert at creating quagmires.
We're in it To Win It!
When the United States declared war on Russia, it was all over but the shouting!
"You may not be interested in War - but War is interested in you." - Leon Trotsky.
The modern puppetmasters pulling the strings of Joey Diapers are neocons - modern Trotskyites, for whom War and Chaos are always a delight.
In reality though, the guy following is picking up the weapon and selling it to gangs in Europe, and that is the reality, not a joke.
These damn cheerleaders for Zelensky, refuse to read what is really going on over there. They prefer to believe these gangsters in charge of this nation are sincerely wanting to help Ukraine. Which of course has no reality to it at all. That in the process of bringing mass carnage upon the Ukrainian people, and enriching themselves. In addition, they are destroying the U.S. slowly via a thousand cuts. Of course the more cuts it is able to inflict, the faster the death of the nation becomes.
Ukraine does not need an “aid package”.
They need mechanized armies - and that’s one thing they won’t be getting.
