Ironic, isn’t it, how local leftist leniency caused the mass murders which leftists are now using as an excuse to disarm law abiding citizens?

That was the plan all along. Soros not z tactics in full bloom and the vast majority do not see it because they just can’t accept that this could happen in these United States. People are, by and large, stupid and cowed....not to mention the few who do see it are mostly too whatever(pick your excuse) to actually do anything about it outside of expending a lot of hot air. Even if one tries they’re up against the powers that be and are slowly but surely crushed for daring to challenge them. This is real life folks. The larger question is what are YOU going to do about it?

“Well ordered” means well armed. Discouraged ownership of firearms by excessive taxation is unconstitutional.

What’s a markup? I don’t think the constitution mentions this practice.

The last time they did that proved it to have no affect. So they rescinded it later. Congress Critters are UN-Constitutional, forgetful and stupid.

I find myself wishing there were a mechanism whereby the SCOTUS could
just step in and strike unconstitutional things down.

It is an internal House process (rule) to allow changes to proposed legislation.

I seem to remember that at one point it time, there was a proposal to require SCOTUS comment on proposed legislation while in draft. SCOTUS rejected the idea as it would bog the court down.
