Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) said in an interview published on Tuesday that “more and more” people are telling him he should run for president, comments that come while he visits early presidential primary state New Hampshire this week.
“More and more people are encouraging me to consider it,” Hogan told CBS News in a phone interview.
“There’s a diminishing number of folks that are wanting the former president, Trump, to run. There’s a growing number of people that are looking for our kind of successful, bigger-tent politics (ME),” he added.

More and more people would tell ME to run for president too, if I asked them.
Of course, I’m not going to attach a number to “more and more.”
Nor am I willing to tell how many of them collapsed in laughter as they said, “Yeah, go for it!”
I’m pretty sure my cat is serious though. I let on that I’d assign three Secret Service agents to carry cat toys and laser pointers at all times. My cat has the political principles of a democrat and can be bought. It’s a start. I’m willing to sell her to Larry Hogan if it would help.
Many people fled MD in the past couple years and are loving the southern states.
They are throwing everything at Trump and his supporters except the kitchen sink. Meet the kitchen sink.
He wouldn’t even take his home state.
But seriously, I wonder if Larry Hogan is thinking about angling for the VP spot, or even a place in the cabinet. People run for president for a variety of reasons, of which thinking they might actually win is only one.
It seems overwhelmingly likely that the Republican nominee, if it’s someone other than Trump, will be a strong conservative. DeSantis has the inside track now. That could change. But the base isn’t going to go RINO. That leaves the question of whether the nominee will be interested in traditional ticket balancing politics. That’s likely to come down to who might actually help in half a dozen potentially winnable states. When all the huffing, puffing and chest pounding is done, the Republican nominee is going to be staring at polls and spreadsheets, and talking with his staff about “how can we win Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin?” Hogan could make a case for himself if he’s smart enough to do it right. That would begin with giving the base some tangible commitments on conservative issues, and then playing Mr. Outreach from there.
Mind you, Hogan wouldn’t be my top pick, but I do understand how outliers like Hogan can fill a lane and get into the conversation. Did George H.W. Bush help Ronald Reagan? I dunno, but I understand the calculation. Of course, the party shouldn’t have annointed Bush 41 as Reagan’s successor in 1988, but that’s on us — and it’s separate from the question of whether he may have helped in 1980.
"NOOO!!! Ya don't has ta call me Hogan! My name is Lawrence Joseph Hogan Jr. Now you can call me Lawrence, or you can call me Larry, or you can call me Joey, or you can call me Skeeball, or you can call me Larry Joe, or you can call me Junior; now you can call me L J, or you can call me H J, or you can call me LJHJ, or you can call me LJH Jr. . . but you doesn't hasta call me Hogan!"
Another legend in his own mind!
I’ve lived in Maryland my entire life. I’ve never heard anyone say they thought Hogan should run for President.

Hilarious BS! Basically the man is HATED by most Marylanders because the majority are Democrats, and those who are real Republicans despise RINOs like that slob.
Please do it Hogan, I would enjoy seeing you crash and burn in a feeble attempt to win the GOP primary. This guy is buying into getting praised as a never Trumper governor as some kind of mandate to run for the presidency. Delusion is off the charts with Hogan.
He has the personality of a high school biology teacher
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
That’s a hilarious comment for the simple reason that you may be the only Freeper who can actually describe a biology teacher’s personality!!! Is it in any way similar to that of a sociology teacher??
He’s no threat to anyone other than the nearest cheeseburger 🤪

Bwahahahaha,lmao!
There’s a growing number of people that are looking for our kind of successful, bigger-tent politics (ME),” he added.

That statement right there tells the whole world that the man has no political convictions whatsoever and will roll whichever way the tide of public opinion seems to be rolling him. Disgusting phony I wouldn’t hire to clean out my horse stalls.
Biggest-Tent? What does he mean? Democrat Lite?

That’s true. I know a half dozen of them and they are urging me to follow in their footsteps! But I live far away from the Baltimore-Washington corridor deep in the Allegheny mountains. Closest town is 10 miles down the road where the locals complain about 4-car traffic jams at the only traffic light in town!
Hey Homer Simpson, who are these people? RINOS
hogan zeros...
Yeah, it used to be just him. Now it’s his whole family.
Wonder how much he paid them off?
