11.3% is b.s. Gas by me on Jan 22nd 2021 was $2.15/gal. It's still anywhere from $5.55/gal to $5.89/gal where I live.
Calculating for the rate of inflation between 1/22/2021 and this morning, 7/14/2022 the inflation rate for gas alone under the Biden Regime of Terror is 174%.
Calculation for gas inflation: =SUM((5.89-2.15)/2.15)*100
For diesel, it's worse: 177%.
That PPI is WAAAAAAAAAAY off.
It’s a national average. They get to offset prices in thr big cities and states with the cost in Whyoming or Montana.
When I was in Omaha right before I retired, diesel was $2.05 a gallon. Today, $5.60.
Unless my math is wrong, that’s a 275% increase.
About 3 months ago now I noticed my preferred store brand of coffee had shrank from 34-oz to 24-oz, but the price increased a few cents.
I calculated that the 34-oz cost 23-cents per ounce and the 24-oz cost 33-cents per ounce. That is quite an increase.
I have noticed that some items have significant price jumps — 25% to 50% or more, while other items have shown little increase. The white popcorn 2-lb bag increased from $0.98 to $1.09 at Walmart, but actually decreased to $0.95 at another store.
