My brother took me to a Starbucks about 20 years ago (he owned stock in the company) and bought me a cup of black coffee.
Even back then it was a chore to make the idiots understand what “JUST COFFEE” was.
Took one slug of it and spit it back into the cup then dropped the whole cup into the trash can.
Told my brother I never wanted to taste such vile crap again, who the hell wants to drink boiled charcoal!
Evidently they serve cheap, crappy coffee and cover the sh*tty taste with the flavor stuff they want to put in...
