With anti-Semitic hate crimes on the rise, veteran pro-Israel activist Charles Jacobs says the organized Jewish community in the United States is asleep at the wheel.
Jacobs, who has spent four decades at the forefront of the Jewish human rights world, says establishment Jewish organizations are led by "people who refuse to fight for Jewish interests" and contribute to the dangerous climate Jews face in the United States by appeasing far-left, anti-Israel forces. The American Jewish community’s alphabet soup of establishment organizations, such as the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), American Jewish Committee (AJC), and the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), among others, "have failed to inform the community of the dangers of Islamic radicalism and anti-Semitism and instead have vouched for radical Muslims posing as ‘moderates,’" according to Jacobs.

American Jews have always needed incentive to support Israel. That was a project undertaken by Golda Meir early on after she immigrated to Israel.
There are plenty of American Jews who are outright hostile to Israel, among them members of my family. Even among the Orthodox, there are Satmar Chassidim, who believe it’s something evil. Posing as pro-Israel with the eternally malfunctioning flame and the like is possibly more for fundamentalist Christians’ eyes than ambivalent to hostile American Jews.
Any Jew who votes Democrat, or supports “progressive” causes, has no real interest in the survival of Israel.
I have heard that there is opposition to Israel by Orthodox Jews who don’t believe the creation of modern Israel was divinely inspired and that G-d’s will has not been sufficiently expressed to accept it as consistent with fulfillment of the prophetic restoration of Zion.
All well and good, but it’s about time that the Gedolim be acknowledged as the leaders of the Jewish People rather than a bunch of fanatical secularists to whom Jewishness is merely an ethnicity.

That claim is not a true statement. The three times a day prayer services of the Jewish people, recited with dedication to God for thousands of years in exile includes the prayer for remembrance of and return to Jerusalem/Zion. Even the simplest Jew knew from a young age that the Holy Land is the homeland of the Jewish people, as stated by the Almighty. This remembrance of Jerusalem/Zion is in every day’s prayers 100 times! Yes, some Jews, like some of all religions, were brainwashed/bamboozled by anti-Semitic propaganda in the 20th century that managed to hide its motives in the minds of some naive people of all religions.
He’s from New England and for many decades countering with facts the idiocy of ever more Leftist, brainwashed Jewish community decision makers who lead their members astray.
