AGoFundMe page launched for a New York City bodega worker was taken down after a video allegedly showed the employee fatally stabbing a man. "Our terms of service prohibit fundraising for the legal defense of a violent crime. At this time, the fundraiser has been removed and all donors have been refunded," a GoFundMe spokesperson told Newsweek on Thursday.
The 51-year-old Manhattan worker, Jose Alba, has been detained at Rikers Island on $250,000 bond after he was accused of killing Austin Simon in an alleged self-defense act on Friday, according to the video obtained by the New York Post.

Let us replace “Go-Fund-Me”. Their cut is 2.9% on every transaction, for essentially managing the fund, so their cut on $250,000 would be $7,250 for doing very little. So raise your funds on GiveSendGo or other legit funders.

Bail bondsmen require 10%.. his family put up 5k so he was released on 50k bond...
Original bond was set at 250k which is outrageous after seeing the tape, in fact the fact the DA hasn’t already dropped the charges is OUTRAGEOUS...
But it’s new york and the perp was a black man with a rap sheet and the victim who defended himself wasn’t so they will destroy him even though he was completely in the right.
Nothing to appeal yet, hasn’t been to court.
If NYC has competent and no corrupt DA’s they would already have dropped the charges.

He gave that man the whooping his father should have when he was young... but he probably had no father, at least not around, so that’s likely why as an adult man he thought he could behave the way he did....
