Chinese authorities on Sunday violently dispersed a peaceful protest by hundreds of depositors, who sought in vain to demand their life savings back from banks that have run into a deepening cash crisis.
Four rural banks in China's central Henan province have frozen millions of dollars worth of deposits, threatening the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of customers in an economy already battered by draconian Covid lockdowns.
Anguished depositors have staged several demonstrations in the city of Zhengzhou, the provincial capital of Henan, over the past two months, but their demands have invariably fallen on deaf ears.
On Sunday, more than 1,000 depositors from across China gathered outside the Zhengzhou branch of the country's central bank, the People's Bank of China, to launch their largest protest yet, more than half a dozen protesters told CNN.
The demonstration is among the largest China has seen since the pandemic, with domestic travel limited by Covid restrictions on movement. Last month, Zhengzhou authorities even resorted to tampering with the country's digital Covid health-code system to restrict the movements of depositors and thwart their planned protest, sparking a nationwide outcry.
This time, most protesters arrived outside the bank before dawn -- some as early as 4 a.m. -- to avoid being intercepted by authorities. The crowd, which includes the elderly and children, occupied a flight of imposing stairs outside the bank, chanting slogans and holding up banners. "Henan banks, return my savings!" they shouted in unison, many waving Chinese flags, in videos shared with CNN by two protesters.
Using national flags to display patriotism is a common strategy for protesters in China, where dissent is strictly suppressed. The tactic is meant to show that their grievances are only against local governments, and that they support and rely on the central government to seek redress.

And despite my not agreeing with everything he asserts, I listen and will continue to listen to what he is putting out. We need more people doing what he does. A Mossberg pump shotgun is a very nice weapon. I have one for home defense. I use 00 police loads ( more pellets) with every third round a slug. If I only get one shot off at least it will be a good one.

Yep......... all in China is far from well.
I’ve tried to grasp the overall condition but cannot get a hold on it. I have come to believe that China is in transition from CCP rule that permitted some freedom, some capitalism and the formation of corporations and very large family businesses. All that is being transitioned out as Xi is putting what he calls China Socialism in place.
All business is being nationalized by the installation of CCP control of at least 51% of corporate shares. The party will indirectly control all commerce.
That means trouble for foreign businesses and they are leaving or have left in droves. I know that many companies with world wide operations have mostly left. There are still some residual activity required as rear guard. GM is in jeopardy. Tesla is apparently being left alone to produce and export
The primary source of business activity and GDP growth was real estate. That has now ended and the repercussions are not yet totally realized. The entire savings of zillions of Chinese were invested in real-estate. that investment is now valueless.
Xi has active opposition within the CCP that apparently wants to maintain the old status quo where people could be in private business. That ranges from a push cart on the streets to extremely large family corporations with large foreign interests in say Taiwan and Singapore.
Then on top of all that, there have been what is now three years of extremely destructive flooding of the Yangtze, the Yellow and currently the Pearl rivers. The losses are incalculable. One can only wonder about the thousands of flooded cars

Number 2 shot is very effective, but it will stay within your home. Slugs and 00 might go through your wall into adjacent homes.
Freschette rounds are devastating if the target is not protected by a vest. 2 will work on those with body armor as the round will knock down the target setting you up for a kill shot.

In China there is in common usage a term translated to be Tofu Drang. It refers to construction from tofu that fails in service. The abundance of tofu drang buildings and other construction is in fact a realized national joke. The deleterious effect on tofu drang to the general population is on going and impossible to quantify.
Then there is another such widely used expression, especially popular among the young working population. The expression is lying flat. That is rather than work from 9 to 9 six days a week, one just lies flat, does nothing. It has been realized that working your ass off accomplishes nothing. You will not be rewarded for the work and can not advance regardless. So, many have just determined that the way to live is lying flat.
How can the China Socialism handle tofu drang and lying flat...... it cannot

7 and 8 shoot are good for small game, rabbits squirls, not for intruders, get at least 4 shoot and stick with 2.5 shells, they will work. Most importantly though is get out and practice! !!!!! And extended magazine on the tube is also a good idea, if they make one for the moss,I imagine they do. Good luck, safety first.
Main thing about a 12 guage is, do not hold it against your ribs to absorb the kick. It’ll break them. It kicks hard. Either use your shoulder if you have a regular stock, or brace against your hand if you have a pistol grip. You don’t have to aim carefully, because it sprays a pattern of shot.

At a short distance, even 8 birdshot will kill. Go out and shoot one into a water filled (or ballistic jell filled) plastic bottle.

Not just gold, other metals, such as brass and lead will also be valuable.
That birdshot will defend you quite well out to 50 feet or so. Beyond that you’d need some buckshot (#4 is fine) or slugs. Slugs will drop a bad guy out to 150 yards or so with a bit of practice.
Yes, the 500 will safely chamber and fire 2-1/2 or 3 inch shells. But trust me, 3 inch in any configuration has a hell of a kick.
Now get thee to a gun range and practice. Without it all you have is an expensive and poorly designed club. Don’t believe the myth that all you have to do is point a shotgun in the general direction of the bad guy. Accuracy counts just like any other firearm.
But you have bought well. The 500 is a rock solid design that will serve you well for decades to come if you care for it properly. I have one and I absolutely love it.
