Most of the pro-aborts are not affected by the court decision because they live in blue states for the most part.
I don't think it is only about legislating from the bench. I think it is primarily about abortion.
If a SCOTUS decision gutted the 2nd Amendment and made it a States issue, a lot of people who live in pro-gun states would also be hopping mad, and not only because the Court legislated from the bench, but because it was about guns.
This decision sets all sorts of things in motion. A lot of fake pro-lifers at the state level always claimed their hands were tied because of Roe. How now brown cow?
And Democrats in all states never wanted it to be a front burner issue, except for fund-raising. Running as the abortion candidate is not a big winner except in districts that are hard left anyway. Blacks and Hispanics don't want abortion to displace jobs and money for stuff in attention.
Some cynical Democrats will do what too many Republicans have done for years. Not work to hard to expand abortionism, because having the issue in play on some districts helps fund-raising. The True Believers will have to try to root them out, as Pro-Lifers had to with RINOs over the years.

Except that the right to keep and bear arms exists. There was no right to abortion.
