Former President Trump during an event in Alaska late Saturday called Tesla CEO Elon Musk a “bullsh*t artist” for supporting the former president’s opponents in 2016 and 2020.
“He said the other day, ‘Oh, I’ve never voted for a Republican,’” Trump said at a rally.
“I said, ‘I didn’t know that,’” Trump continued. “He told me he voted for me, so he’s another bullsh*t artist.”
Last month, Musk tweeted that he voted for a Republican for the first time in Mayra Flores, who flipped a traditionally Democratic House seat in a Texas special election.
The Tesla CEO donated to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, according to Federal Elections Commission data. Musk has since confirmed the donation.
Musk said at the Qatar Economic Forum last month that he was “undecided” about a potential reelection bid by Trump after saying days earlier he was leaning toward supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) in 2024.
Sources have told The Hill that Trump is becoming more serious about launching a run in 2024, even as other high-profile Republicans, including DeSantis, stoke speculation over their own White House ambitions.

> The idea that you can’t throw a little shade without being mortal enemies is what spawned cancel culture. <
That’s a fair point. I’m looking at this more as a risk / reward kind of thing. As I see it, the risk of alienating Musk (and those who admire him) is greater than any good the insult might have done.
But it’s no big deal. Alienating Musk and/or his admirers won’t cause the Earth to stop spinning. But here’s what is a big deal: over time, Trump alienating many people.
We are literally in a fight for the soul of the Republic. We need as many people as possible on our side. We even need those folks who get all wobbly when Trump says something harsh. That’s why I hope by 2024 Trump becomes a little more like Reagan, and a little less like Patton.
Thats pretty petty, Trump was not always a Republican either, nor was Reagan. It has taken Musk awhile to change so what.
My gut tells me this is a WWE work. The SEC WOULD NEVER help Musk if they thought he was siding with Trump.
Is Musk even a citizen?
2022 BAN-ONE proverb: Just because my enemy (Twitter and the evil that runs it) seems to hate their enemy (Musk) does not mean Musk is automatically our friend.
I may be overthinking this, but I think Trump is doing Musk a favor. And I think probably both Trump and Musk probably realize that.
The last thing Musk needs are political problems with the EPA and FAA and NASA. Getting his rockets to the moon and Mars is the priority. Having Trump call him names keep the weirdos from associating Musk and Trump.
Wouldn’t Elon Musk make a great director of NASA in Trump’s next term?
But here’s what is a big deal: over time, Trump alienating many people.
Sometimes you have to be bold.
Jesus came to divide and unite. The point of division and unification is the same point. What is that point?
Trump’s point of division and unification is our heritage. Let’s let the division and unification happen. Find out who stands for what.
You talking to me, or to Trump? Because you should realize that this kind of thing doesn't win Trump a single vote, and may lose him some. It's antagonizing people for no reason.

I’m sure that’s part of it. DeSantis is his biggest threat to the nomination to settle the score of what was stolen from him. Honesty, I do worry some about what Donald Trump losing a GOP primary would look like. I could kind of see him going scorched earth.
Hubby mistakingly (IMHO) jumped back on Twitter when Musk was going to buy them out. Immediately he was shadow banned and now he is permanently banned for not tweeting out leftard echo chamber isms.
I’ll stick with GAB although hubby thinks Torba is too fanatically religious.
Absolutely. I’ve always liked Musk, he is his own man, not easily defined or put in a box. Folks here see everything in black and white, youre either Satan or a Savior. And you can go from one to the other in a matter of days.
> Are we really worried about that? <
If not, we should be. I don’t care who goes home crying because of Trump’s comments. But I do care about how those comments influence voters.
I know people (and you probably do to) who did not vote for Trump because of some harsh things he had said. Many of those people actually see themselves as conservatives. But they could not support Trump because of his manner of speaking.
That is, of course, a childish and foolish way of looking at things.
But here’s the thing. Each of those fools have exactly the same number of votes as you or I do. Because of all the Democrat cheating, 2024 is going to be close. So we need every vote, including the childish fool vote.
And yes, I know Trump has got to be Trump. That’s one reason we admire him. I just wish a little more of Reagan could seep in.
I did read the article. Sounds like typical Trump sour grapes. He is like that buddy everyone has, you love them, but it’s me, me, me all the time and knocking everyone and anyone. The storm cloud. It gets old. There are REAL problems these days, hard times. No one wants to listen to him snipe at folks over minor offenses.

Well said. I just wish I would have added those thoughts to my last post.
Back in 2016 I saw Trump as the last hope for the Republic. I still pretty much feel that way, thought DeSantis is starting to look good, too. Anyway, we need A+ work from our candidates going into 2024. No slip-ups, and no pettiness, please.
Yes he got some, but how many people walk away from free money? How many people put it to such good use?
He's a great President but he's a flawed politician.
Still head and shoulders above anyone else, whatever flaws he may have, in the big scheme of things, are tiny compared to the other politicians.
He’s a great President but he’s a flawed politician.
Well put.
