It’s very depressing. We’re above 100 most of this week...or right under it. It’s the never-ending nightmare summer. For so many of us. Yes, our electric bill was up and we don’t even turn ours down as low as we’d like to. Doing our part to help keep the grid up and running here in Texas. LOL!

I love it - “only” 105. You are a true Texan.

The news said we hit 108 here today. 🫠

Is it October yet?

It IS depressing for everyone when this kind of heat goes on for days on end. Can’t enjoy outdoor activities or even relax on the patio. You don’t want to walk out the door to take care of errands. And for the poor folks who have to work outside, it’s misery. Everyone is ready for a break.

Hubby would like the house to be cooler but I threatened him with painful death if he touches the thermostat. LOL I’d like to have it a little cooler, too, but I’m trying to keep the AC alive. AND keep the electric bill from making us cry.

On the bright side, it won’t last forever.

It sure seems like forever right now. LOL! We’ve been having this heat since May. I’m tired of sweating.

But...now I have to go to sleep. I dread getting up in the morning, as you totally understand! See ya tomorrow!

Y’all have been roasting longer than we have and I know you’re looking forward to winter. I’m not quite to THAT point yet but it’s close. LOL I’m bored.

You know, it hasn't been too crowded in the early parts of the day. Sure, there are a few out there but we've been able to do a lot of the usual stuff.

The weather service has not issued a heat advisory yet for us so there's a chance we may do the trip today at our usual afternoon time (We'll carry water with us if we do) but I think it's supposed to heat back up for a couple of days tomorrow and then cool off later this week and then heat back up again towards next weekend.

In any event, here are all the pics from yesterday.

And, we had ribs for supper too.

Today is KFC Pick Up Day. We will do Comanche Lake again sometime today.

Your forecast sounds similar to ours. It’ll be hot not advisory hot. Maybe Tuesday but the rest of the week, no. Just normal temps for July.
