Because a President can be elected twice, BUT! But, that pesky but......a President can serve TWO terms up to a maximum of 10 years. Meaning? IF all that happened, Trump reinstated.... he can RUN AGAIN in 2024.

No he can't because, as you pointed out, the 22nd Amendment says that no person will be elected to the office of more than twice. The 2016 election would be one and the 2020 election would be two. The 10 year limit doesn't enter into it.

It all depends on whether you want to call a “reinstatement” a reelection or not I guess...

It also depends on how you defined being elected. The Presidential election is for FOUR years. Reinstatement after more than two years passing isn’t a full TERM and not something which I’d call an ‘election.’ I’d say this would be, UNLIKELY THOUGH IT IS, would be one for the USSC.....

@#26,

Ha, you made me just think of something. How much you wanna bet that in 2024, the democrats will make the claim that Trump DID win in 2020, and that his term would therefore be over?
