Texas Gov. Greg Abbott orders troopers, National Guard to deport migrants
New York Times ^ | July 7, 2022 | MaryAnn Martinez

In what he called an “unprecedented action” made necessary because “President Biden refuses to do his job,” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has issued an executive order authorizing his state’s National Guard and the Texas Department of Public Safety to arrest immigrants who illegally cross the border between ports of entry and return them to Mexico.

“While President Biden refuses to do his job and enforce the immigration laws enacted by Congress, the State of Texas is once again stepping up and taking unprecedented action to protect Americans and secure our southern border,” Abbott said in a press release Thursday announcing the zero-tolerance policy.

Only the federal government is legally authorized to enforce immigration law. As legal justification, Abbott cites Article IV, § 4 of the US Constitution.

“‘[T]he United States … shall protect each [State in this Union] against Invasion,’ and thus has forced the State of Texas to build a border wall, deploy state military forces, and enter into agreements as described in Article I, § 10 of the U.S. Constitution to secure the State of Texas and repel the illegal immigration that funds the cartels.”

Great news! Biden's destructive rampage has been allowing illegals to overrun our country, steal our resources, and damage many small businesses.

If you are going to challenge enforcement of immigration law, this is the time to do it.

This court may be favorable to a state enforcing federal law.

IMO Governors have way more power than even they realize.

Unfortunately, Texas doesn’t have the power to enforce immigration laws.
But, it does have the power to ask for identification and detain those without it, according to state law.
Build a huge tent city, and let the fireworks begin.

Another baby step. I want Abbott, my Governor, to take a much more activity engagement, and I have written him multiple times on this. Declare and invasion, plant millions of land mines where there are on walls, repel all invaders at the border with armed troops.

We have as much lawful right as the federal has to an inheritance or gift tax, to have an EPA, HUD, hold private persons or privately held entities responsible for federal civil rights, regulate commerce within a State, have any of its existing gun laws ... and so on.

Plant a field of landmines stretching the entire Texas-Mexico border, put up big signs that blink in neon “Explosiones de Peligro” and be done with it? /s

Been having odd occurrences happening to me and our family - mail being opened, intercepted and items being being ‘returned to sender! ; letters from healthcare providers saying a ‘hacker’ has gotten into behavioral records for purposes to ask for randson of those those records? Probably the govt are the ones who got into the records and the healthcare services just wrote the letter as a cover....no more trusting!

Neeed to end the Post office and all other agencies games against the public - time to end the endless klaus (santa) schwab and george soros games against the middle classes of the world! cant wait to see what Bert Berenson will have to say tonight on the covid lies the world - too many NWO things are happening in this mid term election year coming to up & to an end on many things soon - they do not want to get to 2024 too soon

Why not send them to California somewhere close to Tijuana?
The government there loves them, and they would be about a thousand miles away from Texas.

This is only a Band-Aid on the real crisis we are facing on our border. He oughta load them up in planes and ship them off back where they came from. This is another catch and release at the entry. Mark my words without flying them back home or throwing them over the Rio grande to Mexico this is just another kabuki theater by Abbottt. Besides what took him so long? I really believe the deaths of those 53 illegals, no matter what, were human beings could’ve been prevented if Abbott would’ve moved on it quite some time ago. No one should die like that. If you are acquainted with the heat and the humidity in a lot of the border towns in texas you would understand where I’m coming from. It is like leaving a child locked up in a car while you go to do your shopping in a 100+ degree weather. In less than five minutes that child will suffocate to death or be cooked alive. This could’ve been done months and months ago. The blood of those innocent people which included children are on the vegetable and his administrations hands! LET’S GO BRANDON!!!

Unfortunately, Texas doesn’t have the power to enforce immigration laws.

When the feds fail to do the one main thing it was mandated to (protect the states from invasion or outside harm which the illegals are doing); the states have every right to step up and do the job the feds won't.

I have a philosophical question about border security. Thousands cross our border and die in the desert heat every year. Untold thousands die in Mexico on the way and many women suffer extreme sexual abuse on the journey North. If a women is young and pretty SHE WILL suffer this fate.

A field of landmines would stop this. Only a fool would attempt to cross and a few will. The deaths will be in the tens and not the thousands which currently occurs.

WHICH ACTION IS MOST MORAL? Tens of deaths or thousands?

The caravans of illegal migrants would stop.
