It was her Daddy's seat - Liz spend part of her sixth and her seventh grades in Wyoming according to Wiki but graduated from McClean High School in Virginia. That isn't really much in the way of roots, but it isn't accidental that Wyoming has a very small population, which means that outside campaign money can have a disproportionate influence. Until, of course, they find out who she really is, which is a complete dynastic Beltway political insider.
The voters in Wyoming are certainly to be forgiven for feeling a little used, IMHO. The political political establishment, and not Wyoming interests, gave Liz her marching orders and she saluted smartly and voted to impeach Trump. Her reward was lavish praise as a "real" Republican, meaning a closet Democrat, a seat on the J6 show trials, and more monetary support from NoVa, which has become a suburb of DC, than from her putative home state. That might have put her over the top by itself until she made pro-life comments on the overturning of Roe v Wade, which did not please the Democrat Powers That Be. And the Republican PTB are looking Trumpier by the day.
“spend” = “spent”. Sorry about that.
