I'm also starting to wonder about Israeli leadership. I've supported their peaceful co-existence position for decades. What is Biden's background that he would deserve this so-called medal of honor? This gives me major pause.

But here’s the skinny: President is mostly a ceremonious position in Israel, sort of like the English monarchy, only it’s not hereditary. Some recall what a total rotter he and Barak were towards Israel, and he is demanding a medal from the Israeli President, who lives to give out medals, so that he can show his Jewish and pro-Israel evangelical voters that he is not anti-Semitic, even though his past behavior says otherwise. He has his silly-assed medal.
Another thing to bear in mind, is that Israel is tiny, poor and surviving against all odds in a sea of enemies, and America is huge, powerful and wealthy, and can make life real difficult for Israel, and life is already hard enough here as it is. So if Brandon wants a silly-assed medal, by gum he’s going to get one or know the reason why. And Herzog is the very man to give him one. Or else.
