BRUSSELS – The European Union's parliament on Thursday overwhelmingly condemned the end of constitutional protections for abortion in the United States and called for such safeguards to be enshrined in the EU's fundamental rights charter.
In a 324-155 vote with 38 abstentions, European Parliament lawmakers adopted a resolution that crystalized the anger seen in many of the EU's 27 member countries since the U.S. Supreme Court handed down its ruling on June 24.
“It teaches us a lesson: Women’s and girls’ human rights can never be taken for granted, and we must always fight to defend them,” Swedish politician Helene Fritzon, who is vice president of an parliamentary alliance of Socialists and Democrats, said.
Underscoring fears that anti-abortion movements might expand in Europe, some legislators said they wanted to see EU-wide protections adopted.
“The United States has clearly shown why we must use every tool available to safeguard abortion rights in the European Union," said Stéphane Séjourné the president of the liberal Renew Europe group in the EU Parliament.
The resolution calls on member nations to add a sentence reading “Everyone has a right to safe and legal abortion” to the Charter of Fundamental Rights.
National laws determine the status of abortion in individual EU countries, much like the Supreme Court's ruling will result in for states in the U.S. Abortion is legal and practiced without much political opposition in many member nations, but is banned in Malta and restricted in Poland.

Exactly. Not only do we not care, but the EU needs to be reminded that we are an indepentent country with our own system of government. Screw the EU and all it stands for, which is a communist/socialist superstate.

Amazing, is not, that “foreign” intervention into our affairs was a vast crime when Trump was supposedly involved, but when walking excrememtn such as the E.U. or Soros is involved, it’s “nothing to see, move along, move along”.
If the C.I.A was really doing its job, Soros would be history, and we’d start hearing about the Biden-Democrat level corruption in the E.U.
Men should be angry. The Constitution does not protect their right to enjoy unprotected sex without the need for romance, commitment or fear of long term financial responsibility.
So these people have allowed themselves to be persuaded by the most banal groupthink of the zeitgeist. That speaks volumes about their intelligence, wisdom, reliability, and fundamental honesty. The opinions of people who do that are worth nothing.
We need to leave NATO. Europe isn’t worth defending.

Eurokrats may soon find themselves responsible for their own safety as America withdraws. Maybe then they will get serious but, if they do not, they will likely be killed by their own citizens.
I think the European Union parliament needs an upper and lower chamber. The upper chamber should have an equal number of representatives from each member country and the lower chamber should be based on population.
The 705 members are currently dominated by a few countries with the smaller countries bullied because they have a very small voice.
Since when does another country make our laws
This is a very simple explanation for so many things going on right now.
If one believes in God. If one believes Jesus is alive and knows who we are. If one makes a life as a Christian and adheres to truth as is in the Bible.. if one decides the way to live is to follow the One who said, ‘I am the way, and the truth’.. that one does not do what we see is prevalent today.
Conscience pricks. Guilt moves in on past habits. When women stand out screaming to be able to kill their baby.. no conscience. No guilt.. pure selfish ugly desires. No right and wrong.. just me, my, I, myself...
I look at bidens way and decisions.. he and his puppeteer... have no relationship with God. They serve another and their flesh.

Safeguards, so they continue with the slaughter. That doesn’t sound safe.
Let’s just say to the EU then that Russia is merely practicing post-natal abortions of Ukrainians.
